Descanso酒店(Hotel El Descanso)

Good and cheap for one night if you going from/to airport. Bus stop nearby. 2 cafes right downstairs of hotel so it’s convenient to have breakfast before you check out. Hotel workers are friendly and helpful

I like the location, halfway between the cathedral and Sabana park. There's always someone at the front desk. The gate is locked, so you ring a bell for someone to open it. Feels safe. I arrived at midnight, and was able to get into my room. I had some problem with an A** machine, and one lady at the front desk helped me to call the bank. Fan works, but very noisy. Pretty good wifi. Now the negative: no place to hang anything. No cups. Street noise and the door bell are not good for light sleepers. Thin curtain. Overall, worth the price.

On ne s'attendait pas au meilleur hôtel de notre voyage, et ce fut le cas. Vu le prix, il ne faut pas s'attendre à plus. Les chambres sont spartiates, sans clim voir sans fenêtre (court séjour seulement vraiment!). El Descanso est plutôt bien situé, près de la plupart des intérêts touristiques de San José. La literie est plutôt agréable. L'accueil est efficace et agréable.

I reserved 2 months before and text them 3 days before to ask about the check in because my flight arrived at 12 am and they answered that there is not problem but when we arrived at midnight under the rain the said: no reservations and no room available, then we had to paid a taxi to another hotel.

It is a great place for the price. We stayed there in a pinch when our travel plans didn't go as planned. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The rooms are a bit small, but that's fine if you're just looking for someplace clean to rest for the night on a budget. Also, the two restaurants on the first floor had very good food and great service.

Este hotel puede mejorar en cuanto a las condiciones de la propiedad, yo me hospede en la 307 y todas las paredes estaban sucias, el baño olía a cloaca, tenía un agujero la pared frente a la cama, en fin muchos detalles, pero el lado positivo es que su personal es muy amable y educado.

Buiten het gebied van restaurants en bars. ‘s Nachts 3 keer wakker geworden van een alarm. Het is is hard met een dikke plastic matrasbeschermer.
