友誼酒店(Hotel la Amistad)

This is a good option if you are unable to find other available hotels in San Jose. Very weak or no Wi-Fi service in some rooms. 2nd floor rooms are a bit better. Friendly English speaking staff. They do offer breakfast for few bucks, I didn't try as I had to leave early in the morning. A bit of walk from center/core of San Jose.

Train was very close .. All hours of the day and night it was going and really loud if your room was on that side

The photos are false and outdated. The rooms are dirty and smell and the bed had hairs in it and holes in the blanket

Their website said there was parking, which there was not. The last morning I got a parking ticket while the desk clerk watched instead of contacting me to move my car.

We had the lowest price room so I'm sure it is not an example of the entire hotel, that being said it was a fine room for the rate. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent, one of the best Tenderloins I have had in Costa Rica

The hotel was good and in a very good spot. There is NOT a free breakfast and NOT a free parking. You have to pay for your breakfast and pay to park your car.

I know this hotel and enjoyed it again, the only inconvenience is sitting right on the commuter rail line, I had a 6:30 am appointment so I knew that would not be a factor and the room rate was great

I stayed at the sister hotel called Hotel Castalla. I have stayed at both places over the course of 20 years. Friendly people adults only. Best deal all inclusive. The owner Matt lent me his personal golf clubs to golf at the country club. Sorry to hear about Rudy, he was a good guy. He helped my daughters boyfriend when he had an appendix attack down there. Thanks guys.
