蘭普萊特套房酒店(Lamplighter Inn & Suites)

1) my first room’s temp control didn’t wor. I had to repack and go to another room. 2)Room card kept erasing and had to go beck to the desk and get it reloaded 3)lamp on the desk didn’t work. 4) black around the tub caulking. 5)first morning only a couple of muffins. Desk said they expect another delivery soon. No juice. Second morning nothing for breakfast. No compensation. 5) very noisy. Walls are thin. Young adults screaming and yelling parting. 1 o’’’ clock in the morning men outside the room talking loudly we’re as I could here every thing being said. Didn’t want to get dressed and go in the hallway to tell them to shut up. No sleep.

Great location. Very friendly staff. The room was clean and the area quiet. Coffee in the rooms and small danishes for breakfast.

Simple but clean and comfortable and a great price.

I booked this hotel because it was close to downtown where I had a wedding to attend. My room was on the bottom floor with a window facing the street. There as a probably 12” diameter area of peeling paint in the bathroom above the toilet which would have been whatever. Unfortunately, my door was missing a latch lock. All that was functioning was the key card lock. I contacted staff immediately and requested they fix it. I called again and had a woman come to see that the lock was missing and told them I did not feel safe and would like it repaired before I got back from the wedding. Upon return, it was not repaired. I barricaded myself in with chairs for the night but was pretty disappointed about the lack of concern for my safety and comfort.

To start the customer service was fenomenal, the lady at the front desk let us check in a little early and bumped us up to a "luxury" room because the TV in the one we were getting was not working. The hotel itself was nice but the "working" TV she bumped us up for only had 1 working channel, drawers were missing and one of the personal lights next to the bed didn't work. The ac unit had poorly printed labels that indicated how old it was since the original lettering was gone.

The room has dirty carpet, mold in the bathroom. I have been calling the manager all week and no call back. Do not stay at this place. The motel 6 is cleaner.

The hotel is in a great location for Cal Poly visitors, that's about it. The hotel inside is kinda dingy and old. Rooms are fair. The major problem was the heat didn't work and I spent the night repeatedly waking up cold and it was too late to call the maintenance guy. The next morning there were 2 other guests complaining in lobby about problems with rooms. I sent an email to hotel about my issues because all I got from the front desk was "sorry" . They also couldn't handle checking me out with cash which I tried to arrange the second I entered the front door - weak.

Our bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. We slept well (except for the smoke alarm the first night.) However, the hotel needs some love. We had spots on the walls that were patched but not painted. The door lock had been replaced but the old holes were visible. They needed to be filled and repainted. I could actually look straight out the holes to the outside. The floor looked clean but there was debris that hadn’t been vacuumed. It really made me wonder how clean the bed, etc. was. The toilet wiggled which was loud and unnerving. We arrived at 10:30pm and room was VERY cold. We were tired and immediately went to bed but it was cold for about an hour. In the middle of the night the smoke alarm started beeping. We found it next day in the drawer. Do they not check the drawers after each guest? The pillows were small and square. Standard sized pillows would have been much better. There was no plastic liner in the ice bucket. The next day I asked housekeeping for one and she said they didn’t have them. Normally this probably wouldn’t bother me but the lack of cleanliness in this hotel was unsettling. I just took my cup to the ice machine and filled it directly. We didn’t have a “Do not disturb” sign in our room although I saw them on other doors. There was general wear and tear in all general areas, scuff marks on the walls, stains on the carpet, broken signs, etc. As I said, a little attention would make a difference.
