禪之小屋(Casa Zen)

Accueil parfait, très proche plage et centre ville et c est mignon.tres bon rapport qualité prix.

Primero,la aplicación nos indica que el hotel está en Mal País, perdimos mucho tiempo buscándolo donde no era. Gacias un lugareño podíamos encontrarlo en Santa Teresa, llegamos y no habia nadie que nos atendiera. Cansados por el viaje debimos esperar a que llegara alguien. Debes servirte el desayuno, el cual no fue lo esperado de un hotel y luego debes lavar lo que usaste para comer. Sin contar del tipo en calzoncillos en los pasillos como su estuviera en su casa. No recomiendo este lugar.

Bien ubicado, limpió y consíguen cualquier tour

This was one of the most awful hostels i’ve been in Costa Rica. To sum up; - the kitchen was really dirty - when i told the reception lady she just answered that it’s the responsibility of the guests to keep it clean. I understand that in een preferably situation you hope the guest do their dishes, but since they didn’t the hostel should take care of it so it doesn’t bother new/other guests - the rooms where wayyyyy to HOT! Impossible to sleep there. They put a van but these are so old and make so much noise that you can barely sleep. - rental of bikes was way higher than in town. You expect some discounts for guests. - i booked a yoga class, also the instructor was not good at all. - the last day my hammock towel got STOLEN. It was drying at the laundry and the next day it was gone… I wouldnt recomment this place. You can neither eat or sleep good here.

On the first night, due to a downpour, we were left without electricity and water. The next day I left the site and they did not want to give me a refund for the day I had paid for, that is, I stayed for 1 day and had paid for two.

Great place to stay! Staff was very kind and helpful! Always clean! Half of the bed springs on the bed were broke/dead so that was uncomfortable. Breakfast was delicious and included! Everything else was amazing!

Worst customer service ever. The guy from the front desk was rude. You need to pay a cash deposit for towels and they have no soap. Bathrooms were dirty.

This hostel was nice, but not worth 30 dollars per night. It was impossible to sleep with construction work next door all night, dogs barking on the premisis, the room was really hot because there was no AC and the fans were very high up so they did not reach the bottom bunks. The shower was cold. There was no bathrooms in the dorm, but downstairs. The breakfast was not filling, just fruit and toast which was nice, but an egg for protein would have prevented the need for a second breakfast. The staff were not overly friendly. And due to limited English, they booked the wrong bus for us and the wrong amount of nights. When we wanted our money back for the shuttle bus, they said they couldn't give it back via card, or in colones. And we realised later that one of the 50 dollar notes was ripped so we can't use it in Costa Rica either. Also the yoga was not good.
