玫瑰酒店(Hotel la Rose)

Charming hotel, with an old-fashioned style. We were told at the front desk we could opt in to having it cleaned during our stay, which we didn't do, and they cleaned it anyway. The main ding was the nearly unusable wi-fi. Connection wouldn't stay connected more than a few seconds at a time on any of our devices.

Unique since it’s a historic hotel. While I appreciated the upgrade, our room was next to a street that can get noisy especially at dawn due to garbage trucks. Our room have no curtains so the street light coming through to our room kept me awake as well.

The room was spacious, having said that, it needed a small table and two chairs to have a place to sit and eat or play a game. The bed was way too firm, neither myself or my husband slept well. I appreciate the grounds staff keeping things clean but they need to run the leaf blower at other times than 5 PM or waking us up at 7 AM. The bathtub drain was slow and I stood in 2 inches of water while showering. Also, there needs to be some artwork on the walls, it gives the feeling of a funeral home. The staff was very friendly and checkout by text is very convenient. The locked gate is great for safety. With just a few changes, it could really improve the guest experience.

First, let’s go over the positives. It’s a beautiful historical place with kind, attentive staff. Now onto the negatives. When you first walk in the lobby has a very strong but pleasant, perfumed odor. However, that odor permeates through the entire hotel despite being on the fourth floor I felt like I was suffocating in my room. It gave me an excruciating migraine, and I was not able to spend any time in the hotel room. I spent all of my time outside, sitting in my car until it was bedtime. I was forced to sleep with the balcony door and windows open, causing my room to be freezing cold. When I went to check out, I discovered I had been randomly charged $400 extra and the staff was unable to figure out how or why I was charged And was unable to remove the charge without me contacting my bank which my bank that I needed to contact them and I still am missing $400. It’s too bad because if the hotel had it made me physically ill and broke it would’ve been a lovely’s day.

I have stayed several times at this hotel. I called at 2:45 to ask if we could check in a few min. ey and was no room was not ready but would be at 3;30. Arrived at 4 and room was not ready until 5:30. I never even was given a call to advise that my room was not ready.

We always enjoy staying at Hotel La Rose. This time we were in town for an appointment. The hotel staff were warm and friendly. Check in was early and easy. The hotel was decorated beautifully for Christmas and our room was spacious, inviting, and exceptionally clean. The bed was very comfortable and water pressure in the shower was excellent. We will definitely be back.

This is our 5th stay here. We love that every room on the historic side is different. Charming little nuisances left and right and up and down. Grossmans deli/bar/restaurant is now one of our favorite spots in Sonoma County too.

Built in 1907 this grand old hotel is charming. Rooms are small but very adequate. Decorated in the style from when it was built. Very nice deli/bar downstairs. Several very good dining restaurants within easy walking distance.

Very nice to find this hidden gem in Santa Rosa. Just one night as we were passing by. But, will be back. Great value for money and love old hotels. Grossman’s restaurant next was also very good and convenient. Coffee shop across street also good.
