Holiday Inn Sarasota-Lido Beach-@The Beach

The location is very nice and the staffs are very friendly and accommodating! Only the hallway in our floor were sprayed out with disinfectant smelly. But all overview, we are very satisfied with this booking. We really enjoyed this weekend.

Arrived at hotel to check in. Property was closed for remodeling. Took my non-refundable payment for the stay even though they knew the hotel would be closed. Did not notify me there would be no room. Did not refund my payment. Booked me into a different hotel in a room that cost substantially less per night and pocketed the difference. Absolutely horrid service.

Found multiple roaches crawling around in our room. We took them down in a wad of toilet paper to the front desk, and they handed us a can of Raid. When we checked out we were told there would be compensation from ********** for the multiple days of finding roaches in our things but still haven't received any communication.

Amazing staff including Debbie at the bar and Tina and Emily in the dining room all are amazing people.

Place needs deep cleaning and repair. Mold smell in hallway that is unbearable. Rooms need deep cleaning. Under nightstand and on rear wall baseboard it hadn’t been cleaned in months. Tub had been repaired and was missing pieces. Terrible stay. Staff was extremely rude and unprofessional. Made you feel they were doing you a favor. Only thing it has is great location for the beach.

Hotel staff were very helpful, pleasant, and courteous. Hotel is dated and in need of some repairs/upgrades but was comfortable enough for myself and my little one. The offered amenities were a plus too.
