We spontaneously stopped at this hotel as we were driving through Vrigstad, as it was getting to a point in the day where we thought perhaps we should look for a room. Front desk staff were friendly and competent. The hotel was busy with people attending conferences, but was still quiet and comfortable. The room had everything we could want. In certain respects, it is just a typical sprawling modern motel/hotel, but there were numerous amenities (pool, spa, etc.) that we did not take advantage of. Our room was down a number of long hallways from the front desk and parking was not available near the room. The attached restaurant was quite good - varied menu and good selection of drinks. The breakfast buffet was excellent.

The hotel had very narrow beds and the room was very hot. The breakfast was “OK”. The restaurant had good food but with a waiter who didn’t know anything about the different dishes, wine alternatives or beers. He had to ask everything to the chef! After the main course, we ordered a dessert with some berries and when we saw it was “hjortron” (cloudberry) I said. “Oh, hjortron” as it was a positive surprise for me. Then he said: “I don’t know but I can ask the chef”. Then I explained that we could see the berries and feel the smell of them ourself and that he didn’t had to ask the chef what kind of berries it was. The hotel has a whirlpool and also a swimmingpool outside. Very pleasant!

Det var en övernattning i samband med en längre resa så jag sov och åt middag samt frukost.

Das Hotel ist sehr sauber, das Zimmer ist neu renoviert und hat eine angenehme Größe. In den Fernsehprogrammen könnten mehr deutsche Sender einprogrammiert sein. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut und vielfältig.

Ok hotel til et par overnatninger. Det bedste var det måltid mad, vi spiste på ankomstdagen .....udsøgt lækkert. Det mindre gode var regøringen. Der var meget snusket i restauranten, hvor vi spiste morgenmad. Gulvet var snavset. Der var visne blomster i vaserne. Virkede meget nedslidt og forsømt.
