斯託斯健康酒店(Wellness Hotel Stoos)

Als wir unsere Juniorsuite betraten, hat uns eine moderne Einrichtung empfangen. Wir waren sehr erfreut. Beim genaueren hinschauen sind uns folgende Punkte aufgefallen: Minibar im Preis nicht inbegriffen, Matratzen waren zu weich und bereits in die Jahre gekommen, Bett war unter der Dachschräge, für grössere Menschen ist die Gefahr, dass man den Kopf am Balken anschlägt, Badezimmer sehr klein. Service, Personal und Sauberkeit tiptop. Essen ist reichhaltig und in guter Qualität gekocht. Wellnessbereich hat uns gefallen. Alles in allem können wir das Hotel weiterempfehlen. Die Wahl einer Juniorsuite müsste man sich aber überlegen.

This was I think our 5th visit to a hotel that has for years been a special place, a retreat for body and soul, holding many treasured memories of romantic weekends and family time when our girls were small. Perhaps that goes some way to explain why I feel so let down and disappointed. We booked spontaneously for a Friday night to escape the city, spend some child-free time together, lounging in the spa, chilling, reading and relaxing in the tranquility of Stoos. It was therefore a slight shock to discover ONLY upon on arrival, that the the hotel is hosting the local Schwingfest this weekend - directly within the hotel grounds. It would have been nice to be made aware of this when booking! We arrived to find the hotel grounds completely obliterated by scaffolding and staging, the spa area and hotel lawn entirely taken over and strewn with equipment and sand, and a swathe of chemical toilets replacing the usually stunning views. We were informed at check-in that the outdoor spa area/whirlpool would also be shut. What wasn't even mentioned at this point was that additionally two of the inside spa area saunas were out of commission and the whole glass-fronted (obligatory naked) spa area is fully overlooked by the army of workers building up the staging for Sunday. Nice. The full extent of the disruption we only discovered late evening, however by this time it was too late to leave - given that our car was by then only reachable by a cable car that had stopped for the night. We had actually repacked our bags before realising this - so infuriated were we - but we unpacked again and headed to dinner to try make the best of it. Unfortunately it was quickly evident that the table we had booked days ago was also 'missing in action'....After looking bewilderedly for the booking for some time, the restaurant manager eventually led us to a small table and deftly removed the name sign bearing someone else's name and hid it behind his back. Smooth. Not very welcoming though. The food was lovely - as it always is. However we skipped dessert, both feeling totally deflated and just wanting to get away from the hotel to enjoy a walk and the views from higher up in the village - untainted by the construction site around the hotel. To add insult to injury, we were told we had been spontaneously 'upgraded' to a better room. This turned out to be a first floor room overlooking... nothing. A mound of long grass and the service path for the hotel. Initially we considered this at least a saviour (although a totally cynical move given the lack of transparency at booking) as at least it was situated to the opposite side of the hotel from all the building up of the Schwingfest staging. Our relief was short-lived though when the clanking and hammering, shouting, swearing and revving of trucks and tractors for the building-up work started at 7am Saturday morning. What an experience, this hotel is coming with very confortable rooms well equipped and a good spa, but they elevated the level of service at a superior high level. They really care about their customers from : a great breakfast made of top quality products, a snack service offered every afternoon with diversity and quality A dinner part of half pension at a level of bib gourmand or 1 star Michelin with great choice of wine at affordable price And finally a top quality service with small attention , our menu in french, Badal has been great with us , assisting us during our dinner and taking care of us. My wife, my 2 boys and I loved the place znd we will definitely come back

Wunderschön auf dem Stoos, Autofrei nur mit Standseilbahn erreichbar. Zimmer in die Jahre gekommen, noch alter Schlüssel, keine Zimmerkarte, somit mit 2 Personen muss immer geschaut werden wer den Schlüssel hat. Für ein 4****S in der Schweiz, erwarte ich etwas mehr Sauberkeit im Treppenhaus. Beim Nachtessen hatten wir keinen Tisch- wurde vergessen, sowie auch beim Frühstück. Wellness sehr schön! Essen war auch wunderbar.

Das Personal war sehr bemüht und ausserordentlich freundlich. Das Essen war sehr gut und auch das Frühstückbuffet sehr reichhaltig. Das Wellness-Bad war eher klein und eine Auffrischung täte sicher gut. Wir hatten zwei Doppelzimmer Classic gebucht. Ein Zimmer war wesentlich grösser und offensichtlich auch renoviert. Das zweite Zimmer dagegen war kleiner und in die Jahre gekommen (hatte z.B. noch muffigen Teppich..). Dass beide Zimmer gleich viel kosteten war aus unserer Sicht nicht nachvollziehbar.

Preis-Leistung sehr gut. Sehr freundlich, besonders im Restaurant wurden wir frühmorgens bis abends hervorragend vom kroatischen Kellner Marko bedient. Herzlich, sehr aufmerksam, speditiv, sympathisch und ausgesprochen taktvoll - einfach hervorragend und einzigartig. Zimmer schön, komfortabel und gepflegt. Frühstück wie auch Abendessen sehr gut, flexibele und frische Küche. Wellness sehr sauber und schön. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. So macht Hotellerie und Gastronomie richtig Freude!

Der einwöchige Urlaub warv on A - Z top: A ... wie Ausstattung: Alles vorhanden was man braucht. Restaurant, Gourmet-Dinner, Wellness, Bad, Bike-Vermietung, Sport, etc. B ... wie Bedienung: Super freundliche, aufmerksame und doch nicht aufringliche Bedienung. Und zwar in allen Bereichen, nicht nur im Restaurant-Services sondern auch im wellness-Bereich, der Receptione, etc. V ... wie Verpflegung: Einfach ein Traum! Vom reichhaltigen und frischen Morgenbuffet über die Mittagskarte und nach kleinen Nachmittagimbiss, das regionale Top-Abendessen entweder "à la carte" oder in der Halbpension, das umfangreich und doch nicht zu viel ist (Nachbestellen geht ebenfalls immer) oder das Spezial Dinner im Chranz-Stübli (unbedingt zu empfehlen). Dazu natürlich eine hervorragende Auswahl an Weinen, Spiritusones, etc. Hier wird ganz bestimmt jeder satt, glücklich und kulinarisch verwöhnt! U ... wie Umgebung. Traumhaft, sowohl zum Spazierengehen, Wandern oder auch zum Biken. Es gibt für jeden etwas. W ... wie Wellness: Umfangreiches und sher gut umgesetztes Angebot. Keine Wellness-Wünsche bleiben offen. Erholung ist garantiert! Z ... wie Zimmer: Wunderschön, sauber, geräumig. Mit Balkon und schöner Aussicht. Angenehme Betten. Und grundsätzlich in gutem Zustand. Ich könnte noch so viel schreiben, doch schaut doch selbst vobei, ihr werdet nicht enttäuscht sein. Urbigens das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis geht ganz in Ordnung. Ich habe übrigens gleich wieder für nächstes Jahr gebucht!

We booked a two night stay through **********. No where at all was mentioned, the the hotel can’t be reach without taking the Funicular. The hotel has completely rejected to refund our money, even though they had NOT passed on the information about the hotel being out of reach without taking the Funicular to **********. Our GPS showed us the VERY narrow and steep way up the mountain, 300 meters from the hotel we were told by building workers that it was illegal to drive up the mountain and that the fine for doing so is 300 chf. We had no chance to know in advance from the hotel description or the GPS route, that this hotel was unreachable by car. We were traveling with a fully packed car AND our dog and would have NEVER booked a hotel, which we could only reach by taking “the steepest Funicular in the world”. So thanks a lot for holding back the informationen and refusing to pay us back our money.

Wir waren zwei Nächte in diesem Hotel. Da hat wirklich alles gepasst. Ganz besonders hervorheben: das Personal! Die Leute am Empfang, der Service ... wirklich sehr freundlich, sehr aufmerksam und wohl auch fachlich Top. Wir haben uns für das Tagesmenu entschieden. Sehr sehr fein. Auch die Weinkarte passt. Die Spa-Möglichkeiten sind sehr vielfältig und Massage war professionell hervorragend.
