木匠阿姆斯酒店(The Carpenters Arms)

We came on New Year’s Eve booked a table for 8 in the name of Bartlett and were told it was in the restaurant table 37,when we arrived we were taken to another room where there was no one else eating from the restaurant menu.We were very disappointed and have emailed you about our experience and you have not bothered to reply. We have all been coming to this restaurant for many years,so we were very disappointed to have been treated this way,when our friends were booked and they were in the restaurant.

Great place, has everything and Antino is a great waiter. Wifi and TV reception could be better but I know this didn’t happen for others. Checking in and out was seemless. Good food and a great beer/ale selection.

Really nice hotel/ pub, stayed here before a few times, always good food, clean and tidy rooms etc. I stayed in a different room this time which seemed to be above the kitchen which was really noisy especially early in the morning 6 am on when the extractor fan comes on. Also room service making a noise earlier than I've ever had in any hotel. I mentioned this on checkout but the person I spoke to just agreed with me. Anyway, will stay here again, nice place.

Could be great with more attention to some issues. When we arrived the room was freezing as the window was left open, supposedly for covid reasons (only needed to be opened for 20 mins), heating in the room was off and fiddly to get working, and the heating in the bathroom was not working at all (confirmed later). Went down for dinner later and ordered a veg Thai green curry. Should be mild and with complex flavours, but it was so hot (capsaicin) that it wasn't possible to taste anything. Let the waiting staff know. The other meal was quite nice.

Nice place rooms were fine, maybe could do with a fan for the warmer nights. Pub

Wonderful, relaxing stay in beautiful venue. Beautiful rooms, welcoming staff. The whole a**osphere of the place is cozy and relaxing. It is perfectly situated for exploring and walking the beautiful countryside. I would highly recommend and I will be returning.

I would recommend the Carpenters Arms. Although we only stayed one night the staff were friendly and efficient. The evening meal and drinks really good. The room was very clean and very comfortable beds. Shower/bathroom great. Best full english we've ever had.

For the price of our stay the room was not really up to standard , we had no cups in room ,we had to go and get some , there is no stool or chair by the dressing table ,we had to ask for the heating in bedroom to be put on as it was cold , the radiator in bathroom didn't work, definitely needs sound proofing as you can hear every footstep in corridor. the food though was amazing couldn't fault it at all

Had a great overnight stay with great food, room was lovely with complementary teas, coffee machine and hot chocolate, there is a basket of nice snacks left out but before diving in like we did these are chargeable.. We had a great meal in the restaurant and the wine was also great, slept really well and the breakfast next morning was fantastic, overall couldn't fault our stay at all, we are local and it was a really nice night away, we will 100% return...
