Das Hotel wurde komplett renoviert und geschmackvoll neu im Landhausstil eingerichtet. Vor dem Hotel befindet sich eine große Außenterrasse mit hochwertiger Bestuhlung und Sonnenschirmen. Das gesamte Personal ist sehr freundlich und kommunikativ. Fantastische Küche, tolles Frühstück. Wir werden gerne wieder kommen. 🥂

I went to have afternoon tea with two girlfriends. I am vegetarian and I had booked a veggie meal. One of my friends, although she eats fish, is also veggie, but I had failed to order this for her and the waiter said it wasn't possible to change the order because the teas had been made already. We just accepted that. The cake stands came and the food was okay, but very overpriced for what was on offer. When we asked for more tea, the waitress took away the teapots and just added more water instead of refreshing them. For my birthday last year, I had an excellent afternoon tea in a café in Bridgnorth for half the price. I also recently had a fantastic tea in Ludlow. This one was very disappointing.

We booked a Sunday lunchtime. There was plenty of staff - but they didn’t seem to have any direction and therefore our service was incredibly slow. We asked for a second round of drinks, waited a good 10 minutes and had to ask again (it wasn’t busy so no excuses ). The prices charged are expensive, which is absolutely fine if the food and service line up to the price - they didn’t. The roast potatoes were below average (think toby carvery) the roast beef advertised as “pink” was overcooked - not a hint of pink. My friend had a crab salad started which was a very strange starter served on an uncooked crumpet - it was crab and mayo mixed on crumpet - not a salad. The squid was - well I don’t really want to know what it was. My roast lamb was lovely to be honest, but the rest of the meal let it down. We stayed for a drink in the garden afterwards (because we were celebrating my friends birthday and wanted to make her afternoon a nice one) and what a palaver getting a drink at the bar - 20 minutes for 3 drinks. It wasn’t busy, there was plenty of staff - my husband says there were 4 staff behind the bar and only 1 person actually working. The location is stunning, the decor is great, but to pay prices as high as this - I would expect a certain level of service and it just lacked any kind of service. Note we spent in excess of £150 for a meal and drinks for 3 people - that’s a lot of out hard earned money to leave dissatisfied. Won’t be rushing back, sadly

Visited for my husbands birthday and my fish was definitely the catch of the day 🤭 (see pic) Always lovely food and great a**osphere, will always be one of our favourite places to eat. The children's food is brilliant too! Not bland and boring like most places, my child had the tomato pasta and it was really tasty!

Lovely renovation of an old property but menu is massively skewed to carnivores. 14 mains choices had meat or fish, only one vegan and one veggie, neither of which showed any imagination. Definitely poor for vegetarians or vegans so I chose a ‘light bite’ of sautéed mushrooms on ciabatta. This was £13 for three chunks of dry bread and very few mushrooms. Really need to rethink the menu for the growing minority who don’t eat meat or fish. Service was fine and it is a lovely venue.

We booked a special birthday lunch for my wife, All the immediate family, sixteen of us, were invited and we had use of the private dining room. The staff were very attentive and looked after us well. The lunch was superb and thoroughly enjoyed by all. The day was a great success. Thank you.

Overall one of the freshest looking Brunning & Price locations having recently visited the Glasfryn and the Pant yr Ochain which are looking a bit tired. The mermaid was very sparkly. I agree with the review that notes the noise, I too found it difficult as I do in most B&P restaurants the service was very attentive and pleasant. Thank you for a nice evening.

Disabled Law not complied with. We have visited this establishment's restaurant numerous times and suffered the same problem - NOISE. This venue has been refurbished and those responsible have failed to comply with the Disability Discrimination Act by making reasonable adjus**ents during the work. For people like myself, who are partially deaf (a recognised disability) the excessive noise created by a lack of sound absorbing materials makes sitting through an otherwise nice meal a torment. Background NOISE just makes hearing impossible - even with hearing aids. The management of this establishment needs to consider its position. I understand that the Armoury in Shrewsbury is another of their restaurants - we no longer go there because of the same problem.

Fantastic service, from our arrival until we left the team were warm and friendly. Service was the right measure of professionalism without being over bearing just constantly there when you wanted them. The food was perfectly cooked and there was a large selection of dishes. Beautifully looked after and a lovely lunch thank you very much to Stuart and the team
