We had a terrible stay due to loud music by DJ for private party all evening until 10pm. Our room was 2 floors above the party, and the music was ridiculously loud. We asked front desk staff several times to have it turned down, and their only response was that the party was booked and they could only "ask" that the music volume be lowered. Whether they ever asked I have no idea, but the loud music continued solidly until 10pm. What a nigh**are!!! We booked this hotel with an expectation of good service due to brand name but never again. The morning front desk staff offered free Starbucks breakfast for our trouble, but we declined. We did get coffee though which we would have had to buy as there was no free coffee. Room was ok, beds ok not great. As mentioned, Starbucks in lobby is only coffee option other than typical room coffee with one sugar and one creamer per person.

After driving from San Francisco I was looking forward to my room and then having dinner in the hotel while working on my laptop. Instead I was told that I would have to stay at a nearby Best Western. Huge difference in price between these two properties and huge difference in comfort and safety. So I loaded all my belongings back into my car and headed to Best Western. I'm a woman who travels alone for business so I choose properties that I feel are secure. Not properties where the door is facing a street. Despite the fact that I had already paid almost $250 for my room, they would not find another room for me in their hotel. Said there was a plumbing issue. I'm sorry, the parking lot was not full, it was a Tuesday and it's a huge hotel...I'm not believing that it was sold out. I have no idea why they booted me and had no choice but to go to Best Western where my sleep was interrupted by loud banging and loud voices arguing at 3:30 in the morning. Although Marriott refunded my money and paid for my night at Best Western, they should have at the very least offered me a one nights stay in one of their properties for the HUGE inconvenience they caused. I may not ever again stay at a Marriott if this is their norm.

Check in was terrible. Started out the room I reserved wasn’t available. Don’t understand when I reserved and paid in advance. Why the hotel wouldn’t hold the room. Then the lady tried to make a joke out of the situation, which made it worse. This experience was so bad. I am not staying at this property again. This was my go to property when visiting family in Simi Valley. Several times each year.

The staff was awesome and the mattresses were amazingly comfortable. You could tell the facility was an older building when in our bathroom. The main problem was not enough help in the cafe. The one lady who was working was wonderful it just took a long time to get our grilled cheese sandwiches because she was having to be the one taking our orders, money, food, as well being the waitress for us and others. Disappointing for us as hungry travelers...The food was great and so was the lady who took care of us!

Rooms are currently being renovated in this location,so a nicer perk during this stay. Property, lobby and rooms are always clean. Nice cafe downstairs for coffee and breakfast. Cozy bar area for an evening cocktail. Did not use gym this time, however has basic equipment. Highly recommend

I liked the hotel staff was very friendly. The one thing I didn’t care for was it seemed like more than normal outside the room noise made it into the room. I wouldn’t let that stop me from staying here again if in the area.

This location was perfect for our itinerary, it was clean and very accommodating. Swimming pool and jacuzzi were clean and open! It worked out well for us!
