史密斯頓酒店(Smithton Hotel)

Acostumbrado a otros hoteles por Reino Unido, no está entre los peores. Habitación limpia y baño grande (nada que ver con otros en los que he estado por allí). La ducha bastante amplia. Queda lejos del centro de Inverness, si es que la intención del viaje es pasar tiempo en la ciudad pero para pasar un par de noches y recorrer desde allí otros puntos de las Highlands no está mal. Nosotros solo bajamos una tarde a Inverness y llevábamos coche por lo que no nos supuso mucho problema la distancia. En el bar/pub la cerveza fresquita y a precio razonable.

On arrival the building could be doing with a tidy up.... but inside a very friendly young lady welcomed us. She gave us lots of information and the most important was on buses into town - Great service too late bus home about 11.25pm Saturday night The room was clean and cosy, bed very comfortable. Ensuite was roomy, shower good. Peter was a very attentive host especially during the lovely breakfast we were served, nothing was too much trouble :-) Loads of parking in hotel grounds, which is on a quiet residential estate. Never was bothered with any noise from the Bars downstairs, did go in for a nightcap. Taxi into town was ordered by hotel and cost about £13 was there in 10mins.

2 Night stay for business. The room was really clean, bed was comfy enough and the staff were friendly, it looks rough from the outside and some of the punters in the last chance saloon are a bit dodgy looking but its ok. I was in the end room 9 which wasn't great as its above the entrance to the bar and you could hear the smokers rattling on beneath you champions league night and then punters trundling up the stairs next to you through the night. I missed the breakfast which I've heard is good.

This was part of a Scottish Highland driving trip. Being able to easily park our rental car was a major plus. But beyond that the hotel and the staff were fantastic . The owner was very involved in running the hotel and his staff was very professional and friendly. It felt like we were staying with family. If you want to stay in a place thats in a real neighborhood and very close to the Culloden battle field and museum. Which is a must see. Then the Smithton Hotel is perfect. (Guest with walking issues, be aware that the guest rooms are on the 1st and 2nd floor and there is no elevator) . We highly recommend The Smithton !! Paul & David . Tacoma, WA.

Lovely hotel and very friendly. We arrived too early to check in but the owner Pete? let us in and showed us to our very clean room. As we were leaving early the next morning to catch our flight home they made us a packed breakfast which was lovely. We had dinner in the evening and I must say the chicken curry was lovely. Thank you. Very friendly staff

Het hotel ligt aan een rustige weg. Heeft 2 verdiepingen zonder lift. Kamers zijn groot genoeg en badkamer is prima in formaat. Koffie maker op de kamer. Wij waren er in het weekend en alle gasten gingen gelijktijdig om 8 uur ontbijten. Er moest even flink gewerkt worden door de bediening. Schots ontbijt was prima. Parkeren doe je gratis voor de deur op hun eigen parkeerplek. Als je mede gasten luis praten hoor je het wel.

Good basic, accommodation everything under one roof for an overnight stop. Evening meal and breakfast were good. Staff nice and pleasant. Our twin room was a little cramped, I personally don't like a bed up against a wall, managed to headbutt the wall twice in the night. Maybe other twin rooms are possibly bigger??? Would stay again but not in a twin room

Dit hotel geeft een herberg-gevoel. De receptioniste is ook de barvrouw, de eigenaar is ook de kok. Heerlijk kleinschalig met een top service. Echt een aanrader.

What a wonderful little place!! The beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean and warm, the food is great, and the staff is friendly. We had the two adjoining rooms which suited us perfectly. I also love all the old historical photos on the walls.
