喬治酒店(The George Hotel, Amesbury, Wiltshire)

I gather that this place has had a substantial renovation, and to mine and my creaky Border Terrier’s advantage. I had a super chill time It is a well renovated, highly appointed historical property, close to one of humanity’s greatest creations. What’s not to love? Particular appreciation to Jackie, she was amazing every breakfast time.

The hotel has been beautifully refurbished and the choice of colours in the furnishings and walls is superb throughout the hotel. The staff were helpful and courteous One concern however is that there is no direct link either by an in-room phone or panic button should the need arise for instant response from outside the room. I feel this is a serious short coming for an otherwise excellent

A wonderful hotel room and hotel in a quaint village. Easy access into Salisbury and close to Stonehenge perfect for the purpose of our visit. Lovely breakfast included.

Great place, staff amazing, recently refurbished. Bathroom a bit small and tight but otherwise good. Old building and when there had storm and the window leaked a bit. but all in all loved it and will be back.

First class in every way. Staff,food,accomodation, all are things that make any stay memorable and the George has them all. Will definitely stay again.

The rooms and common areas were very nice. The WiFi was weak and intermittent. Management did not solve guest issues well. The breakfast was tasty.

Fantastisk lille hotel i nærheden af Stonehedge. Kan helt klart anbefales. Både værelser og restaurant levede op til vores forventninger og mere til.

Old property so we didn’t expect it to be modern inside but the photos show it in a better light than it is. We received an email from the hotel after we booked to say it was a sports bar so may be noisy. Had we seen that beforehand we would not have booked it First night we were in a room that was very disappointing. Old, dilapidated not as clean as I’d like but the bed was comfy. Next morning after a noisy night we discovered the cold tap for the mixer shower didn’t work. The staff were unable to fix it as it was a Saturday so gave us the key to a much better ,bigger and cleaner room with a nicer bathroom although the mattress was old and uncomfortable . Breakfast was full English or cereal but no porridge,fruit or Danish pastries . The staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough to help and the place has a lot of character. Position is excellent for Stonehenge and other areas of note in the county
