濱海紹森德索普灣普瑞米爾酒店(Premier Inn Southend-On-Sea (Thorpe Bay))

We picked this branch over the main Southend one for the free parking. It doesn’t have an affiliated restaurant, so no meal deals here, but there is a Toby Grill next door with a cheap buffet, albeit not quite as cheap nor as good as a meal deal one. Check in good, easy and friendly. Always welcomed with a hello when we returned to the room. Very quiet as slightly set back off main road. Either no or few sea facing rooms here. Half an hour walk to the pier entrance. There is a machine for drinks and snacks but as is usual for these; pricey. There is a convenience store along the road not too far. No lift. You need to request to have the room serviced if you are staying more than one night. No discount offered if you choose not to though. I would also recommend the Gold Coast Chinese restaurant not far past the Toby, #2 on here at the time of writing, or the Italian Sunset bar which is even closer. Both excellent food and service.

Lovely stay at this hotel, we were greeted by a friendly lady on reception by the name of Chris. Room was clean and spacious, had everything we needed. A stones throw from the beach! Handy having the Toby Carvery so close too. We will be coming back to Southend in the next few months and will definitely be staying here again. Thank you

First time staying at this hotel and likely to be the last. The staff were fantastic but we were unlucky enough to stay in a room where we had a herd of elephants in the room above. They were pacing and jumping around from 11.30pm until approx 4.30am so we had very little sleep. Not impressed! We stay at Premier Inns regularly and appreciate that this rarely happens but when it does it wrecks the weekend!!

Professional courteous reception team. Free parking. Quiet. Windows that open and a fan in the bedroom. Only 2 floors so minimal stairs. 1 of the cleanest we've stayed in. Local restaurants get booked up on Saturdays. Can recommend Gold Coast Chinese - go hungry!

We were staying here for a wedding at a neighbouring hotel. Super location as it was a short walk, easy which was required as my dad is currently using a wheelchair. Lovely, lovely staff who were helpful and attentive. This hotel does not have the usual pub associated with it that you expect at a Premier Inn. There is a Toby Carvery next door, but we chose to have breakfast on the beach front instead during our stay as there was a few places a short walk away. Hotel comes with a large car park all in all a great base and perfect if you’re at a wedding at Roslin Beach Hotel.

Very convenient location, friendly staff, clean rooms and free parking. There is a Toby Carvery on-site and books to borrow or buy for charity. We were disappointed that there was no bedding for the sofa bed despite asking for a twin room and we had no decaf tea or coffee sachets in the room. Reception staff watched like a hawk as we collected some sachets from the front deck which felt highly uncomfortable as we had no intention of taking more than we needed. There was a lot of light coming into the room from around and under the door and curtains which made it difficult to sleep. The shower was great and the TV size was very good. We had free WiFi too which was convenient.

We booked this hotel as it had free parking and was across the road from the beach! Our room was clean & tidy but the ceiling was thin, you could hear the guests in the room above. We received a lovely warm welcome when we arrived. We had breakfast next door at the Toby Carvery as there was no on-site restaurant or lobby. It took about 20 minutes to walk to the Sea Life aquarium, a few extra minutes to the arcades and maybe 10 more to Adventure Island and the shopping mall. Tip: download the Toby Carvery app for best deals, we got our son’s all you can eat breakfast for £1.

Not at all good. 3 trips to get a key that worked. TV would not allow HDMI connection or phone/tablet mirroring. I had to go down again to report this to reception. I was told that "They do not work" I asked why they were there and publicised on the website if they didnt work, and I was told that "some of them work and some don't". I asked if the one in my room c uld be repaired and I was rold "no". I asked why not and was told "because it is a very low priority". Clearly it was a very low priority for Premier Inn, but it was actually a key factor for my overnight stay as we had planned to watch movies and instead had to listen to the radio for the evening! The room was far too hot. The heating control unit did not work. I went down again to reception and was told by the same unhelpful lady that the way to get the room cool was to open the windows!!!. She didn't seem to care that the control unit didnt work, no doubt it was too low a priority for her. The windows only opened a little way so we overheated, and by morning the room was even hotter. Basic stuff done shoddily, and poor customer support badly compromised this trip!

This is about our 4th stay here. Great hotel right opposite the beach. Staff are amazing as always. Always available and happy to help. Nothing too much trouble. We had lovely chocolates left in our room for us which was a lovely surprise. Will definitely return
