斯普林菲爾德紅頂酒店(Red Roof Inn Springfield, IL)

I used to like red roofs. The rooms are large and generally didn’t smell bad and they’re good value for the cost. The last few red roof stays have been very disappointing and this is no exception to the recent trend. I cannot recommended and I will not stay here or any of this chain again.

Please listen to me when I say they have probably never cleaned any of these rooms ever. The blanket had stains, there was hair and crumbs under the top sheet. The window unit was so dirty that we gagged when we turned it on. The floor was sticky and there was a cigarette butt on the ground. I took pictures as proof. The front desk said I should have asked for a new room. I'm sure they were all dirty. His reasoning for the cigarette butt on the ground was that it was a smoking room. Really???

No clerk for 15 minutes, then a "friend" showed up that couldn't sign me in. 25 minutes later the manager one duty (owner?) showed up. He'd HAD to run to a celebration of his countries Cricket match win.

Shower head was busted water was getting everywhere on the floor. The fridge was disgusting the floor hadnt been cleaned. There was no safety lock latch.

Hotel was okay. The parking lot was a little shady though. There’s a Jaguar with 4 flat tires on property, and driving in to hotel is challenging with the massive pot holes you need to maneuver

Our room was nasty! The worst I have ever stayed in. It was so dirty! It still had old coffee in the coffee pot. The comforters and shower curtain were all stained. There was black mold in several places in the bathroom. The mirror was missing in the bathroom. The mirror by the TV was dirty. The lampshades were stained and gross. The TV remote has NEVER been wiped down. I have pictures to prove all of this and more. Just unacceptable to be this dirty and charge over $100 per night!

Property Manager tried to get more money out of us and lied about accommodating after confirming twice that we where driving for 13 hrs.

The room was not very clean. The water didn’t get very warm and the sink did not drain. The sheets were stained but the bed was comfortable and the ac was cold!

Everything went so well from our check-in to check-out. Friendly staff, great room, clean, so comfortable, great shower. Will stay here again.
