英國特倫特河畔斯託克希爾頓逸林酒店(DoubleTree by Hilton Stoke on Trent)

Excellent room and en suite, very clean and seemed fairly newly furnished/decorated. Had booked a twin queen bed as was only available at time of booking (didn’t need two beds) and they did automatically switch me for what I think was a king bed on arrival and it was a very spacious room. Minus a point for dinner at the hotel which is a bit of a let down. - The allergens listed on the menu at reception didn’t match the allergens listed on the menu in the restaurant, so despite pre deciding what to have, was a bit of a let down to find some dishes were no longer allergen free - Also had my starter and main arrive before my drink did, despite ordering at the same time (they did apologise, as they were busy) -dinner in the restaurant was over priced for what you get (no seasoning or flavour) Breakfast however was great and excellent quality for buffet style. I used the gym and although small, it was great for a short stay and a nice to have. All staff were super friendly

Stayed here on business… When entered the room it smelt heavy of smoke which was strange as non smoking hotel… Reception was very apologetic and changed us the room straight away…

We really enjoyed our stay. We were there to see family overnight. Unfortunately, we couldn't use the pool etc as we arrived 4 hours later than planned due to an accident on the M1, which was one of the reasons I booked, so can't comment on that. The room was big & very nicely done, massive shower & TV & the bed was comfortable, I didn't wake up with a painful back which is the usual if I don't sleep in my own bed. Breakfast was very good too. A nice touch was warm cookies on arrival to have with the coffee in our room. Overall, having stayed in cheaper hotels in Stoke, which were not available on this occasion, we both said that we would be prepared to pay the extra next time to stay here again, from my husband that is praise indeed!

Great sized room and good value for money. Only down fall would be the noise due to functions on. Our room was above where taxi’s collect guests and around midnight both nights we was awoken by lots of noise. We paid for breakfast and they were great. Good selection of food for all the family, one thing would be better variety for Gluten free guests, such as pain au chocolates, especially as we pay the same price but quality and selection of food is not the same. However we would definitely rebook.

Check in was slow as there was a long queue and only one person on reception, room was nice but the shower constantly dropped. Sauna was dirty, chewing gum stuck to the heater. Swimming pool was dirty, not enough water in for a deck level pool meant all of the surface scum/dirt just hung around on the top of the water.

Long wait at reception to check in, didn’t realise we had to book to use the pool. We were sat in the bar for breakfast and the coffee machine there was rubbish. Beds were comfy, bathroom nice and clean, shower pressure wasn’t very good.

No Aircon in rooms only heating. Fans are provided but are noisy and just circulate warm air. Your able to open the windows but there is a busy noisy road outside. Extra bed is a pull out sofa bed which has the same comfort levels as the floor. Pool is ok however very small more than 10 people in there you will be unable to swim. Breakfast was nice no faults there however was busy after 9am there was a que when we left as it's a small area.

Took half hour get my room key from reception then they give me the wrong room. when i told the receptionist they said there room's are all the same just some have settee bed and a little bit bigger. Which i replied well the price is definitely different so i want the room i paid for. when we got too the room the sheets were dirty brown stains on them or fake tan so they hadn't changed them (got pictures) settee bed wasn't made up. One towel only 1 light worked none of the lights at the side of bed worked won't be going back would be better of sleeping in the car
