Rectory Manor is a luxurious retreat set within a large secluded garden. It is ideally located for Long Melford and Lavenham. The rooms are very well appointed and the atmosphere is quiet and relaxed. Frank is a welcoming host and Saxon looked after us very well.

The Rectory Manor is the most comfortable overnight stay I have ever had in the U.K. A large garden in a small hamlet outside Sudbury in Suffolk, it has beautiful rooms in a converted stable. The large main house has a very comfortable sitting room and breakfast room showing some of the owner’s ancestry. And breakfast could not have been better. And our spaniel loved the garden. The owner lent us a book on the nearby 486 Bombardment Group airfield history, and although little is left except two stone pillars and a hangar, there is a museum in Sudbury dedicated to the USAAF. Highly recommended!

Booked for a single night as we were attending a function in Lavenham. Great first impressions upon arriving at the Hotel. We only stayed for 1 night but in that time we met 3 of the team (including the owner Frank) and the dogs. Everyone was very friendly (including the dogs) and the team wanted to ensure that everything was perfect for us which it was. We were in the stable block and the rooms we were staying in were very large, very comfortable beds, very clean, very warm and had a great shower. A very comfortable night. We had breakfast the following morning and opted to also have the cooked breakfast which was freshly cooked to order and tasted fantastic. All in all this is a great place and we are really pleased that we found it and stayed there. Thank you all.

WOW…. What a pleasant one night stay. My partner and I visited for one night for my partners birthday. We were greeted by the owner of the manor, Frank, who was so kind and made our special stay feel so personal. The fact you are staying in a home that has been in the same generations just makes it feel so warm, welcoming and like a home from home. Set in a beautiful village surrounded by thatched cottages and Tudor buildings galore in the nearby town. We stayed in the room with the four poster bed and roll top bath. The mini bar was well stocked with a finer variety of drinks. The breakfast was delicious. We have already recommended The Rectory Manor to friends and family. Frank, thank you!

Just spent 2 nights at the Rectory Manor Hotel and it was absolutely fabulous. The location was perfect, with a great walk on the doorstep. The room and the bed were extremely comfortable. Vicki made the breakfast which was superb, we ate far too much but it could not be missed. Frank was an excellent host and could not do enough for us.

Beautiful Manor House , balcony was a massive plus for star gazing. Friendly owners, Cute pets…What more could I ask for ?!

If your looking for a extremely comfortable and relaxing stay in a wonderful country house in a very peaceful location in the heart of the Suffolk countryside this is it. The house and grounds are a delight and each of the spacious bedrooms are unique in style and very comfortable. We stayed as a surprise birthday get together for my wife with our family and we’re more than happy with our accommodation breakfast served in a delightful decorated room all of which was for us the perfect few days stay. The location is close to good restaurants in Lavenham and Sudbury which we enjoyed also.

Would give more than 5 stars if I could . Our one night stay was perfect. Fabulous room and facilities . A great breakfast to go with it. This place is a gem. Best nights sleep for ages. Comfy bed loverly bathroom and a great host to go with it. Thanks Frank and all your team for a wonderful end to my wife’s birthday trip.Hope ti see you again.
