飛龍旅館(The Dragon Hotel)

Strongly recommended and friendly

It's quite old hotel but acceptable, with a very tiny lift causing you to wait in the peak hours.

I arrived early and they allowed me to check-in my room 2 hours earlier. It's a kind gesture that helped me a lot. It's located 5 minutes walk away from the city center where the banks and big shops are located.

The hotel is very nice and convenience, I like the food here, it's an enjoyable trip.

A decent room on the face of it (spacious enough and with good aircon, working TV),, but there was a noisy fault with the plumbing that the hotel clearly knew about as they tried a feeble patch up job on it, so they shouldn't have assigned the room until it was sorted out. Our young son was exhausted and settled quickly, so we suffered and didn't sleep well at all. Also the sofa bed was not very comfortable to say the least. If you don't sleep well, a hotel is awful. Basic stuff. I feel mildly conned.

Very old and dated property. Various noises throughout the night. Not many Plug sockets in room. Parking is £9 a night Only 1 lift working so there were queues. Terrible view from room. Scaffolding derelict buildings. They were short staffed The whole place needs a revamp.

The whole property is very dated, the carpets in the room were lifting. The wet room was nice but there was only a shower curtain rather than a door so water got everywhere, this clearly happens a lot as there was a patch on the carpet outside the door. The bed was comfortable enough but flat pillows. It's also ridiculous to have to pay extra for parking, especially if there are no spaces when you return and you've already paid. There was a lovely lady on reception in the mornings though and she deserves a mention as she was very helpful and friendly. I believe her name was Loretta
