Would give 3.5 stars. Fantastic pool and lounge area, less than a 5 minute walk to the beach and 10 into ”town”. Not very good for a romantic getaway like i booked it for though, as the walls/doors are thin and you can hear noises from the outside very easily (aka crying/yelling kids and people leaving their rooms early AM) so that meant no sleep ins. The tub on the balcony is a nice touch but it's not fully private so other hotel guests can see you getting into and out of it. Pool bar is not swim up, but still has good drinks that you can order to your beach chair. The restaurant does a small menu, papaya salad was one of the best I've ever had. Breakfast was lacklustre, the bread and refrigerated items are left out open for the flies to sit around on. Needs screens/ doors. Had the other classics like scrambled eggs, bacon and mushrooms. They lit tiki torches around the pool at night, was a nice touch. Free parking was great, albeit a little confusing. Overall I wouldn't go back due to the lack of quietness/privacy feeling, because my partner and I like more ”romantic” holidays whereas this seemed more geared towards family friendly.
We had an incredible 5 nights at Niramaya villas in mid October. We have traveled to many luxury hotels across the world, Niramaya really stood out for us particularly in terms of value for money. We stayed in Villa 41 (2 Bedroom) 2 adults & toddler & a baby. we requested an infinity pool & received just that. The villa was stunning, gardens were immaculate, pool a nice temperature. The villa was spacious with beautiful bathrooms, double garage with a stunning view across the little lake. It felt very private and was quiet. We booked direct through the hotel which included a $100 food voucher per day. One thing to note is when travelling with young children the second bedroom is quite far from the Master bedroom. Our baby monitor range did not reach, as a result one of us had to sleep in the same room as our toddler which was fine. Also there are rainforest noises throughout the night, so if you are a light sleeper I suggest ear plugs. We want to thank Ranaul, he was a wonderful staff member who went over and above to make our stay memorable. We will definitely be returning!
We loved our stay at paradise links resort! We had a two bedroom apartment, which is actually a studio room and one bedroom apartment combined. Loved the coffee machine and comfortable couches and nice big comfortable bed. The resort is lovely and quiet. The main pool looks beautiful but isn’t heated, however the other pool is heated and is very nice. The apartments do need a bit more maintenance, crockery could be replaced and the cabinetry in the studio room is chipped and old, but even so we loved staying here and would do so again!
Excellent hotel - superior service quality. This hotel is really to be recommended: just across the promenade to the beach, nice breakfast included from 7 am - 2pm (!). Breakfast to go for early departure. Towels & beach chairs & sun umbrellas, nice swimming pool area, filtered water to go & ice cubes, bicycles, washing & drying facility including washing liquid for free, it offers simply everything. We have stayed at Australia for 4 weeks, travelling along 4-5 star hotels, and this was outstanding. Take a studio with sea view - and enjoy sun rise/set every day. Enjoy the lovely beach and water for swim, and the amazing view fro the hotel. By the way: we booked a snorkelling tour by ABC Snorkel company, a business offering small tours guided by marine biologists per 6-persons each group. Well done.
Sstaceye687My mum and I shared room 15. The configuration was perfect for us, as it was actually 2 rooms with a common entrance opened up, so Mum was able to have 15B to herself. This meant she not only had her own bedroom, but her own bathroom, kitchenette, veranda, outdoor chairs and table, spa, sun lounge and pool ladder! I was in 15A (a double room in itself) and we used its much larger lounge, kitchen (full size with dishwasher), veranda and spa as our common area. Both bathrooms have walk-in showers. The pool isn't heated but it was in the sun from early morning so, even in August, I found the water plenty warm enough. It's always beautifully clean too, without noticeable chlorine, only slightly salty, good mix. Excellent location, next door to Zinc restaurant and bar, which is on the corner of Davidson and Macrossan Street. Short stroll to the beach. If you're not able to manage the walk all the way down Macrossan St to the inlet, there is a great shuttle bus service available (SR Coaches) to take you anywhere in Port Douglas for a fixed price of $8 one way or $14 return. Just call their mobile number to tell them where you are and they'll be there in a flash.
This property is out dated and needs a large refresh to be considered a four star property. it is well below half a star below Mantra Aqueous, which we would rate at 4 star. The breakfast was lacklustre and had numerous appliances out of order especially coffee machine. the reception amenities area was sufficient however its opening hours were below expectation 0600 would be an expectation and there were several other parties that would have purchased coffee if it had been open before 0700. Also for a continental breakfast 0700 is too late of an opening time.
