Friendly staff. Rather windy staircase to bedroom. Room was dated however large, bright and airy and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was good, nice coffee, English breakfast cooked to order. Would definitely stay again!

My 2nd visit to the Chiselden House Hotel and I had a lovely time stopping over, visiting family for the Bank holiday. Room was very nice and made use of the bath. Not often I find one I can fit in! Bed was very comfortable, the right level of firmness for an often sore back. Unfortunately I had to leave early the next morning for work so had to decline the cooked breakfast, but staff were very hospitable and flexible with a few small requests, to make my stay comfortable. Had a nice G&T and pleasant chat with the welcoming receptionist, as it was a fairly quiet evening. As a solo traveller I was glad of the conversation. Will definitely be visiting again as it's well priced and convenient for my needs.

Beautiful grounds and hotel but rooms tired and need updating. I asked to be moved from the first room they put me in and was given a superior room, the room sizes are huge however missing the small things that speak superior such as hotel/area information, mini fridge, tissues, heated towel rail etc. bath not dirty but looked it as it badly needed resurfacing. On the plus side, large beds, garden views, good food, nice communal areas, great friendly staff, iron in room, warm rooms, plenty of towels, quiet.

Great overnight stay...quiet location minutes from the M4. Warm welcome from the reception was a great start! The dining experience was excellent and there was a daily dinner menu with freshly prepared dishes. Breakfast was included and was also very good. I would definitely return to Chisledon!

In need of some updating as a bit old fashioned in decor and furniture. Breakfast choices could be better to cater for people who do not want cooked food everyday. Staff excellent as was cleanliness.

This is a charming hotel with great food and service. The only issue is that the bed and pillows are rock hard.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel and grounds were beautiful, and the rooms were spacious and clean. The breakfast was great too!

The room was spacious, the bathroom would benefit from an update and I prefer a softer mattress. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was high quality.

Lovely little hotel,warm welcome from friendly but professional staff.Room and bathroom very comfortable,breakfast very good.Hotel and gardens in need of a slight refit hence the title..not a diamond but very very good and value for money.We will stay again if in area.
