Reception staff on arrival were excellent. Kids pack was gratefully received. Our room was dirty, the carpet had not been vacuumed, it was stained and there were sweet wrappers.The room also felt really dated, and the sofa bed had not been made up. The pool area and changing rooms were also dirty and looked tired (used tissues and dead insects around the pool, doors missing from cubicles in the changing rooms. Food in the bar was average and overpriced. Tiny bowl of soup, roasted garlic flatbread was basically two pieces of buttered toast. Didn't bother with breakfast which was included with our room rate.

Not enough staff to deal with customers, resulting in lots of delays. Our room had very dated decor and was extremely humid upon arrival, opened the window to see all the rubbish bins and load in area. It smelled very badly, so we had to close the window immediately and suffer the humidity. That night, went to dinner with my kids. Pizza was £19. Pizza!!! Woken in the morning at 6am by the arrival of trucks unloading. Even with the windows closed, loud. Very much looked forward to leaving...

Ample FREE parking , please don’t start charging it’s rude , very helpful staff , there was no Guinness at the bar , so they specifically went to to cellar to get a can (bit bizarrely that they only brought one can up , was tempted to order a second can , just for fun )

Odd business model from a ‘luxury’ hotel chain, if you’re not a Gold/Silver member you won’t be given a bottle of water for your room and there are parking restrictions in some areas for the same reason.

I travel a lot for work and have to say this is one of the nicest hotels I've used in quite a while. This was a family trip with 2 adults and 2 children (1.5 & 4 y) The staff were fantastic with both the kids and adults. There was a kids activty room and kids activity sheets given to us on check in which was a nice touch and the kids loved the stickers. The 2 double beds were fine for us all to get into and the supplied crib also safe and cosy for the baby. Only slight gripe was only 4 little milks for the family although again reception got us extras. The pool was good for adults and kids, although there is no family changing room which made it slighly hard for us to all get changed this was only a minor inconvenience. Breakfast plentyful and a wide range for all tastes, also bonus points for a having a wide range of alternatives milks and GF options too. Checkin and checkout were smooth with no issues. The hotel is well looked after, as are the grounds but the real gem is the staff which were excellent!

I wanted a place to pray before leaving a conference and staff gave me a free late checkout so that I can do my afternoon prayers. Great service and thank you

Excellent hotel. Staff friendly and welcoming, fabulous building. However whilst quality and variety of breakfast food was excellent unfortunately the “hot” breakfast items were only warm. It would have helped in the plates had been warm too,

Sunday night stay and it was very quiet. Breakfast was excellent value. Only disappointed was the cleanliness was a bit poor with cobwebs in the bedroom and more in the bathroom which were all to visible and had clearly been there for some time.

The reception staff were very welcoming and efficient. The room was well appointed although there was no heating on this chilly evening. This was quickly attended too after one call to reception, who provided a good portable heater. The dinner in the dinning room was first class, as was the breakfast.

Staff very friendly, Beth that checked us in was extremely friendly and helpful and even gave us a card and bottle of Prosecco when I told her it was our 25th wedding anniversary! Such a lovely gesture. Room was spacious although could do with updating

Brilliant stay, very comfortable and lovely staff. Excellent place to stay with a family and will definitely visit again.

Lovely Hotel, food very good although a limited menu. Breakfast was good Room was lovely but bed and pillows very uncomfortable

Great facilities and location. Lovely for families members of staff very friendly and helpful.
