莊園之家(Manor House Hotel)

Ho soggiornato presso questa guesthouse con un gruppo di 10 persone e ci siamo trovate benissimo. Le camere sono semplici ma accoglienti e donano un senso di serenità, grazie all'uso dei colori chiari. La nostra aveva una finestra stupenda con vista sul fiume. Il bagno piccolino ma dotato di ogni comfot e molto curato. I proprietari davvero super, gentili, simpatici e veloci nel sbrigare le pratiche di checkin. Ottima la colazione scozzese, preparata da loro in persona. Ho visto che offrono anche un servizio bar e ristorante di cui però non abbiamo usufruito. Lo terrò senz'altro come base per i miei viaggi quando sarò in zona!

Abbiamo pernottato una notte in questo hotel. Le camere sono ristrutturate e abbastanza moderne (soprattutto pulite). Il rapporto qualità / prezzo va bene. I parcheggi si trovano direttamente di fronte all'albergo e sono gratuiti. Purtoppo la camera non aveva una tenda davanti alla finestra e così la luce entrava già sul presto, inoltre si sentivano tutti i rumori dai vicini (l'isolazione fonica proprio non c'è). Il buffet della prima colazione era ricco ed il servizio ottimo.

This place was very welcoming great staff and the Scottish cuisine we received was absolutely to die for in the restaurant they really have a good quality kitchen team in here and had a real buzz in the restaurant from the residents dining. All in all we would definitely come back here for future stays and the food

Lovely, comfortable twin room in a beautiful Victorian house with a view of the river, and great service. Despite it not being on the menu, the owner offered to make Cullen skink especially for us, and it was outstanding - the best we’ve had on our trip.

Extremely disappointed really. Check in was easy but didn't feel very welcomed. Room was fair sized but with water stains on ceilings and walls it was very concerning. Extension lead left poking out from behind TV. Food a little over priced but found an amazing Indian restaurant around 5 minutes walk away. Location and parking good though but not enough to entice me back unfortunately so would not stay here again

A great little hotel we stayed in for a night on our way to Orkney. The family running the hotel were very nice, the bar was good and the food was delicious. The rooms were quiet and spacious. The bathroom was quite compact but sufficient. The breakfast was fresh and hot, although all the guests were temporarily locked out of the restaurant and reception area during check out time, which was slightly stressful when you have a boat to catch. Would recommend and stay here again.

Now it’s not often I’m blown away by an establishment, but on this occasion, the Manor House, Thurso really did surpass my expectations. It was recommended by a colleague who stayed at the same venue about a month ago. I’m often in this area for work, accommodation is at a premium (I’m assuming because of the ferry from Scrabster to Kirkwall, in the Orkneys), so having previously stayed at the Weigh Inn, a venue I was keen to avoid, I thought I’d give it a try. The host Leo and his lovely daughter Rebecca could not be more welcoming or accommodating. They really do go the extra mile to make you feel welcome, almost part of the family. Nothing is too much trouble, and their ability to put guests at ease is to be congratulated. I stayed in room 7, perfectly appointed and more than adequate for a short stay. As I type the new resident chef is cooking us ribeye, and if last nights meal was anything to go by (pan fried haddock, white wine sauce and baby potatoes) we’re in for a treat. Traditional Scottish breakfast too, which is always nice. I can only suggest that you book this venue, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed. Thank you for lovely stay and we hope to be back soon.

We stayed in Thurso over the Easter holidays for two nights. It was the first time staying at the hotel. We are checked in by the owners daughter. Our room was to the front overlooking the river.the room was nicely decorated. While there was tea and coffee in the room there was no tv but we were content enough with one. The bathroom was perfect for someone with disabilities but the sink was very small. There is a bar in the hotel but it is mostly residents that use it at the moment.the owner Leo is a great character and raconteur. He hopes to have weddings in the hotel and is applying for his license. It would be a lovely location for a wedding. Breakfast was great and cooked by Leo himself. It is a very friendly, family place and competitively priced.

This was a warm cosy family run hotel. It provides food and drink of a good standard wiy#thin a friendly a**osphere. It is close to amenities and can advice on tours and activities available. Nothing is too much trouble.
