Fantastic 2 night break staying in the hideaway. Very luxurious accommodation. Extremely clean . Used the restaurant on our first night . Cannot fault the food. 1st class service . All staff were very polite and helpful. Ferry Port to Tarbert is pretty much right next to the resort .ensure facilities free to guests as well which is an added bonus if, like us , the weather keeps you in the resort. All in all, cannot fault a single thing and will definitely be back in the summer months

We visited Portavadie for a 2 nighter over the weekend in the couples retreat, we had never been before but absolutely loved it, the staff were very helpful and friendly, our custom really felt appreciated. The little lodge we lived in was a 10-15 minute walk from the main area/restaurant and was very secluded, bit of a storm when we were there so felt extra cosy at night with the log fire on and the wind and rain hitting off the windows, loved it ! One tip, bring a bag of kindlers to get the log fire going, went great and started straight away with them but the first night took a bit of effort to get it going. The food was very nice at the restaurant as well, good range to suit most tastes and we enjoyed everything we had. We didn’t try the spa on this occasion but took a walk up for a nosey, it all looked very nice and next time we will bring the swimming equipment.

Had a fabulous time. Hotel and Spa are first class. Relaxing and beautiful views. Restaurant staff and food were excellent and our room was spotlessly clean and lovely and cosy. Outdoor pool and jacuzzi was a treat on a cold winters day. Lovely to sit and watch the sunset.

First visit to Portavadie and will definitely return. Staff were friendly and provided excellent customer service. The spa was well-equipped and the outdoor pool was fun to use. The rooms were of a good size and spotless. The restaurant offered a range of options reasonably priced and breakfast was of high quality. Views were lovely and the stay was very relaxing.

We love Portavadie but we felt like some of the people that work there don’t! The staff at reception were lovely but some of the younger staff members in the bar area looked miserable & were unhelpful. It’s also a pity that the lounge/bar at the lodges has never re-opened since Covid. Apparently this is due to staff shortages. Hopefully the staff issue can be resolved & we can see Portavadie return to its former glory with nice cheery staff to match!

Excellent week long stay with our family and friends. We had no issues checking in or out, it all went very smoothly. We were able to use all of the facilities with no issues and the showers and toilet facilities were spotlessly clean. We used the outdoor Infinity Pool, outdoor hot tubs and indoor pool and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The facilities were very clean and although the pools were closed for the first two days of our holiday due to a previous incident, it all started to run again like clock work and you could tell that the staff thoroughly enjoyed working at the resort too. Nothing was a bother, any questions were answered quickly and informatively. Our friends needed some assistance with their power supply, and this was dealt with urgently. The infinity pool is one of Scotland’s treasures. We watched a large pod of dolphins feeding in Loch Fyne, which is what you look out onto from the infinity pool. It really is absolutely incredible. We also had a spa treatment at the beginning of our holiday, and spa experience day at the end of our holiday, and both experiences were of a very high standard. Pricing is also reasonable for the spa treatments, should you wish to go. The only downside of the spa experience was that the hydrotherapy pool is no longer in use as there is no lifeguard available for it, I feel the price could have been reduced to reflect this. The grounds were kept clean and tidy within the resort and the only downside was that there is now only one restaurant instead of two. There was two restaurants available to choose from pre - COVID, and the coffee machine is now self service so you pay around £3.50 for a coffee and small pack of biscuits which you make yourself. There is a fantastic ferry crossing terminal a 5 min walk away from the main reception desk and it will take you to the small fishing village of Tarbert where you can access some local shops, a CO-OP, pharmacy and coffee shops too, as well as fresh produce. I cannot wait to go back to Portavadie, and I would and have recommended it to anyone.

We stayed at Portavadie with a group of friends for a 50th Birthday. We stayed in the studio apartment (which was lovely, very modern and had everything you required supplied for you). Friends stayed in the Townhouse Apartment and one of the Cottages. We ate in the restaurant each morning for breakfast and a few times for dinner. Great menu and food was lovely. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come back in a heartbeat.

We stayed in one of the 5 cottages. Our accommodation was well presented, clean and came with an ensuite and family bathroom for the 2 bedrooms. Lovely terrace area to sit out and enjoy the stunning scenery. Had some lovely swims in the outdoor pool. Excellent lunch but service at dinner was slightly disappointing. Despite booking a table we were left standing for 10 minutes without a single member of staff acknowledging our presence. We appreciated staff were busy filling orders at the bar but a simple 'will be with you in a moment's would have gone a long way. Dinner was lovely and the young waiting staff were very attentive and discussed options. Checking out this morning we asked about the 10% discount for repeat bookings. All 3 members of our party were return bookings (some on our 5th trip). Unfortunately as we had booked online rather than telephoning no discount could be applied.

We are just back from a Three night stay in one of their Luxury Apartments. We received a warm welcome and ours was available before the time given. We ate all of our meals on site, dinners are fantastic quality. The fish and chips, scallops were awesome along with the new curry options. We booked our times for our meals and spa facilities and everything ran like clockwork. The bed we had was actually more comfortable than the one we have at home and all of the staff were very helpful, we had a quick preview of the new huts that are going to be let out from June and I would imagine they will be well received with the wonderful views over the loch. If you want a break to relax and depart with a big grin on your face feeling totally cared for then this is the place !!
