I tried to book a room online, their online system failed when I went to pay ($358 for 2 nights from memory) I then called immediately to check if the payment went through, it did not, so I booked direct on the phone. When we arrived and checked in, payment was made and the price had gone up to $398 for the same time period and the same room. The price of approx $200 per night is the standard you pay for a higher end motel in the Central Coats, Newcastle / Hunter region, we stay in motels from Monday night to Thursday night for work and have been doing so for 3 years. The room pricepoint was for higher end but was average at best. On entering the room we noticed the waste basket was not emptied, there was a small non-smart TV, free wifi only up to 5gb, toilet half flush button removed / broken, shower water pressure was poor and tapware not in proper working order, oh and no lock on the bathroom but this may be for "an emergency", i dont know. Oh and for those travelling for work or with families, 1 double powerpoint to share between 3 beds, so if you are plugged in, someone will be missing out on that battery top up whilst trying to work. However another powerpoint is located in the kitchenette. But it wasnt all bad, the beds were comfortable, plenty of cutlery, Aircon worked, plenty of shampoo and conditioner and the icebox in the fridge works (you would be surprised at how many dont. Oh and the lady at the front desk was very friendly. It was relatively clean, we didnt go looking for dust but at a glace floors looked vacuumed, tiles moped and tabletops wiped down. For the money, there are better places to stay
