米德福特灣酒店(Meadfoot Bay Hotel)

This is a gem of a hotel in Torquay. Excellent attention to detail from the White Company toiletries to the homemade biscuits, Clippers tea and fresh milk in the mini bar in the room. We stayed for two nights Dinner Bed and Breakfast and the food was incredible, beautiful locally sourced food created and delivered with real care. Homemade Granola and Berry Coulis for the buffet breakfast and scallop and bacon roll, smoked haddock and lots of other options. I don’t think I’ve had a better breakfast in a British hotel. The dinner was top quality and incredible value. We’ll be back!

We’ve visited many a hotel, we love to travel and spend time exploring. So we can write this review from a place of experience. Meadfoot bay hotel is the most thoughtful hotel I have ever visited. Nothing is to much for them. They go out of their way to make sure you are as comfortable and happy as possible. I would go as far as saying the staff are worth their weight in gold! From the moment of booking to checking out they think of every detail! It’s the little things that really make the difference. I won’t ruin any surprises, go! Find out for yourself how awesome this place is! THE FOOD IS INCREDIBLE!!! Perfectly placed just out of time but close enough to access many an adventure! We went shopping, to the beach, visited the theatre and spent the evening enjoying the night life.

They are closed. Website still live. Very annoying and shouldn’t show available rooms. Need to make it more obvious on the website that it is infact closing. Luckily didn’t go as far as actually booking. Also no for warning. Been looking at this hotel for 4 weeks. No indications at all

We've just had a very relaxing 4 nights at The Meadfoot Hotel, where the service, comfort and food was of the highest standard, coupled with value for money. Anna and Marcio who both managed the hotel were extremely efficient and had a good rapport with guests. Together with the support staff of Olivia, Vivien, and Toby, we were extremely well looked after. We wish everyone including the owners all the best for the future.

My partner booked this as a secret destination and surprise Valentine's Day meal and night away, so I had no idea what to expect: I was more than pleasantly surprised from the moment of our arrival to the time we left. From the warm, relaxed and friendly welcome, to the meal and breakfast the following morning, the staff could not have been any more helpful and charming. Both bedroom and bathroom were of a good size, with the inclusion of a sofa in the bedroom, slippers and dressing gowns in the bathroom. I particularly appreciated the large bottle of water in the fridge, which also contained fresh milk, a welcome change from the usual milk capsules. We had the tasting menu in the evening, which was highly creative and very tasty! Meadfoot beach is only a five minute walk away, so good for an early swim, especially when you can return to a very interesting breakfast menu - another highlight. Indeed, the breakfast alone makes us want to return to spend a few days there so we can work our way through it as it was so difficult to decide what to choose. In all, an excellent experience, and one we'd like to repeat before too long.

Just stayed at this lovely boutique hotel. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. Very welcoming and all the staff we interacted with couldn’t do enough to help. Our room was modern and very nicely decorated, bed super comfy and toiletries thoughtful. We dined in the Brasserie and food was excellent (hats off to the chef). If you are looking at staying or even just dining, don’t hesitate, you won’t regret it!! (Just need to find another reason to go back!)

Arranged a Family Dinner for 8 with 3 couples staying overnight. Pre-event communication was excellent with all arrangements sorted including provision of menus prior to arrival. Rooms were perfect for our needs although there was a problem with the heating (it was freezing weather) but the staff did there best to sort it. The pre-dinner cocktails were just the job followed by an outstanding 3 course meal - the food was excellent. Breakfast the following morning was superb with an excellent choice of hot & cold. Staff looking after us were excellent from start to finish. All in all a lovely experience topped by a travel bag with water/brownies as we checked out/left. Would strongly recommend - excellent value for money,

We didn't stay here but we definitely dined here. Me and my partner went for a celebration meal on Saturday night. From the moment we entered the door to the moment we left we were smiling. Service was impeccable. Food was devine and the atmosphere was just perfect.

Lovely hotel close to Meadfoot Bay beach, and within easy walking distance of Torquay centre. Lots of nice little touches - a welcome cocktail, White Stuff bathroom bits, lovely fluffy towels and even a goodbye bag with water and brownie for your journey. Excellent helpful staff, particularly Toby who was there for most of our 2 night stay! They did all they could to make our group of 4 couples welcome. Didn’t eat dinner there, but breakfast was excellent.
