I would like to say this is a lovely place to stay, we stayed in an apartment, it was clean tidy and very well presented, the hotel staff were pleasant and more than helpful. My only complaint would be the restaurant attached, we have stayed here twice now, the first time we booked a table through the hotel in the restaurant the meal was very pleasant and the staff were friendly and polite. It brings me no pleasure to write this but our visit this time I can only class as awful. The food we had the chance to eat was lovely it’s just a shame that after booking a table for four people, we were given one side table big enough for one plate to eat four meals from. This I’m afraid ended in disaster when the plates went everywhere as there was only room for a quarter each plate on the tiny table. To add insult to injury when I approached the bar to explain I was handed napkins to clean up! Not help not oh I’m sorry sir, nothing. I cleared the mess and took the scooped up food to the bar explaining again what had happened and why and still nothing. My family and I were astounded when the young waitress came over and asked if everything was ok with our meals. I began with, no not really, before I could finish she replied I’m sorry about that and walked away. By this time to of my family decided they had had enough and left to go back to the room hungry. With that the waiter came over with two soft drinks for the two people that had left and said these are on the house! By this time I was sure this was a wind up and I was in some sort of reality show. Sadly not we decided to leave and I went to settle my bill. I explained for the 3 time before paying and was told I’m sorry you did not enjoy it hope it will be better next time and given the full bill with the option of a gratitude payment. This has ruined our stay and will probably stop us from booking at either place again!
