A great stay!

No elevator, no luggage carts, no handicapped parking. Couldn't park by door and had to drag luggage to our room. Bathtub didn't drain well, and didn't have a grab rail to get out of shower. Sinks only had warm water, couldn't get a drink. Room had been bombed with heavy room fresheners, gagging us and making our eyes burn. Front desk was no help, just said to leave our door open! We had to buy a fan to air out the room.
Pool was closed and didn't look like it had been used for years. Fitness center had a sign saying out of order
Breakfast was decent-eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, cereal. Guy that stocked the breakfast bar was friendly and efficient. I will say the hotel is quiet.

Travelocity did not tell the hotel I was to stay with pet and they gave out all the pet rooms. They were able to accommodate me since I was there for one night. I had to walk upstairs with dog and luggage and I have problems with my back. There was a field to walk the dog, but the access was not safe as there was a hill and no path and the grass had been wet. Breakfast was ok and welcome. The room was clean, but some in a nearby room were noisy.

My room, 102, had a leaking bathtub faucet that was so loud it kept me awake all night.
In addition to the noise from the dripping water, the heating unit lumbered to life periodically sounding like an 18 wheeler had driven into the room.
The walls were so thin, that I could hear the man next-door coughing all night and could also hear both sides of his phone conversations.
I had a long, drive ahead of me in the morning, and was very frustrated not to get any sleep.
On the good side: The desk clerks were personable and efficient. A hot breakfast was good.
But nothing can compensate for the deficiencies in maintenance. I have asked for my room great to be returned to my credit card. So far, that has not happened.
Do not stay at this place!

We arrived at the hotel early for an event, and asked about an early check in. We were told that our room was available, but it would cost an additional $50 for early check in. I’ve traveled the world and stayed at MANY hotel chains. This is the first time I’ve encountered a “not premium” hotel that charges for early check in of 2-3 hours.

It was quiet, clean, and provided quick and easy access to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. We needed a place to stay for a night so we could wake up and go straight to the mountains. This allowed us to do just that quite comfortably.

The staff were exceptionally nice! The man that checked us in was positively jubilant. The room was very clean and smelled fresh. We will definitely stay here again!
