Unprepossessing 2 star hotel with entrance off street. First floor of apartment building. Rooms fine, nicely decorated air con good bathrooms. TV. Wi fi. Friendly staff. Nice continental breakfast. Key to this hotel is location. Very close to Grand Canal area 1 minute walk. So great for bars restaurants walking down to Olly cafe and ferries to Muggia (7 mins amble,). Have checked out other hotel locations for Trieste visit. Absolutely no. 1. Would stay again.

Η κοπέλα που μας υποδέχτηκε ήταν πάρα πολύ εξυπηρετική καθώς επίσης και η κυρία στο πρωινό. Το πρωινό ήταν ικανοποιητικό, αλλά βασικό. Δεν διαθέτει χώρο στάθμευσης, αλλά υπάρχει ιδιωτικός μεγάλος χώρος στα 3' με τα πόδια. Μην έχετε ιδιαίτερες προσδοκίες από άποψη πολυτέλειας. Αποτελεί μια αξιοπρεπή διαμονή σε σχέση με την τιμή του και σε σχέση με τα υπόλοιπα κατάλυμα που τουλάχιστον την περίοδο που πήγαμε είχαν υψηλές τιμές.

We had some issues getting to the hotel due to the very slow passport control at Trieste airport and so turned up about 12:30 in the morning. Once we found the hotel we rang the bell several times and did not notice the sign stating that if closed go to the Intercontinental on the other side of the pedestrian area. The receptionist came across and guided us to the other hotel where we booked in and then he came across, showed us the key to get in and up to the lift where we went up to our suite. The suite was a good size with a microwave, fridge, kettle, pots and pans etc. The room was clean and the bed comfortable and the room was quiet so we got a good nights sleep. The breakfast is in the other hotels' restaurant but it is less than a minute to walk across to it. Breakfast choice was not great - you have to choose your breakfast from a menu and it would have been better to have a buffet type. The hotel was quite expansive and I did not feel that it was worth the cost.

We stayed four nights in The Modernist Hotel in mid October. The location was an easy 20 minute walk from the main train station and centrally located between the water and two interesting neighborhoods. Our room was comfortable and spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was pleasant and satisfying. I am very sensitive to noise and was bothered by the busy street below. This is very individual. I grew up in New York City and the location would be quiet by NYC standards.

This hostel is amazing. We stayed there for two nights and had a wonderful time. It’s very close to lots of bars and restaurants and you can see the harbor out of some of the rooms. The kitchen facilities are spacious and very clean. And the included breakfast was great. All of the people staying at the hostel were wonderful. Trieste is a great city and this is a great place to stay. The hostel was also very close to public transit (bus) stops so it’s easy to get around if you want to venture out. Definitely note that there is no lift and the hostel is a couple floors up, so pack light! The hostel was also pretty hot and humid, I think they could benefit from some fans. However, I understand that Trieste is a very hot and humid city in the dinner. Marta, who works reception, is so kind and helpful!

Hotel accogliente fuori dal centro storico : ottima pulizia , personale disponibile , luogo silenzioso. Ottima la colazione , prezzi in linea con i concorrenti . E’possibile raggiungere il centro sia con il bus che in auto dato che l’hotel si trova nel quartiere residenziale di S.Vito

Direkt am Yachthafen gelegenes Hotel mit kostenfreien Parkplätzen. Der Empfang freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer geräumig, leise und sauber. Die Klimaanlage funktioniert und ist leise. Nur die Dusche ist ein wenig eng und es gibt wenige Ablageflächen im Badezimmer. Hervorzuheben: das inkludierte sehr gute und reichliche Frühstücksbüffet. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut!
