SpringHill Suites Truckee

Very nice hotel. It is easy to get to from the highway and close to town and Northstar. Well thought-out rooms with a frig and microwave and a sitting area. There is no in~room safe and no nightlight. Very dark at night with the blackout shades. Very quiet. It is hard to cool the room at night as the thermostat stays at an almost constant temperature.

The hotel is fine, enjoyed the breakfast and hot tub and convenience to the freeway. We were supposed to get free streaming on HBO, Amazon Prime, Netflix, etc. It never worked. Hotel staff tried to fix it but failed. Also, I was surprised to get charged $10/day for parking. There is no other place to park. Staff said parking included, just not in the price. That is not a thing.

It’s as advertised. The breakfast buffet is good. If you’re out skiing it is a good place to stay. Rooms are clean. Room upkeep is terrible. I was in a room that had a double Queen and it was good. A lot of people staying were going out and about skiing and snowboarding. So from that perspective it is good

We had such a nice stay at the Springhill Suites. The staff were very welcoming to us (including our dog! - such a dog-friendly property - but you do pay a significant fee as is the case almost everywhere) and really warm and helpful during our stay. The property is in a great location, just outside of downtown Truckee's lovely main drag that was beautiful after the winter storm that hit while we were there. In the summer, the distance is easily walkable. In winter, you could snowshoe it, but it's less than a mile by car. Our room was huge, so quiet and comfortable. While we loved just about everything about our stay, more on-site food options would be useful when there's a storm so you don't have to leave the property. Right now there aren't places you can walk to when it's snowing hard. But we will be back because we really enjoyed our stay at the property.

We love this property! Our room is lovely. Nothing has been overlooked. The employees are friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help. We will look forward to staying here again and will recommend it to all our friends.

Everything about this facility is nice. Staff is friendly and accommodating. The only issue we had was the breakfast area was not big enough to handle all of the people getting breakfast they kept running out of food. Other than that the trip was great!

I’m confused why there is no housekeeping on a daily basis given that other Covid restrictions have lifted. But the room is fine. Nothing special but works.
