Hyatt House Columbus/OSU Short North

My family is going through a lot this week. My marriage of 15 years suddenly fell apart and after my soon to be ex husband moved his clothes out I saw a wall full of mold. I had to call to have the mold remediated and they said because it was so bad we had to vacate the premises for 24 hours. I googled pet friendly hotel and this is the first hotel that came up in my price range. From the moment I walked in and smelled the calming smell (I believe it was lavender/eucalyptus) I knew everything would be alright. The Dog park was such a wonderful surprise and my son got to go swimming in the pool to take his mind off his problems for a short while. The front staff provided toothpaste and toothbrushes because I literally had to leave with the clothes I had just washed in the basement. 5 star rating.

Hotel was well maintained, clean, and convenient location to campus. However, we were disappointed that the room we had reserved (and prepaid for) for 4 people was not available when we arrived. We were traveling with children, so it was not convenient to have 2 separate single bed rooms. Despite being told a few times that our room would be ready for us the next day, it never did become available during the duration of our trip. Desk staff told us rooms are given out “first come, first serve” at this hotel, which was not made apparent to me when I reserved and paid for a more expensive, larger room for a family.

Trip was for a concert with my son at Kemba Live. Short drive to the venue. Check in was ok. Hostess had a bit of an attitude but everything else was great. Hotel was extremely clean and breakfast was good as well

Very nice hotel to stay in. We rented a one bedroom for two nights. It was clean, smelled nice, seemed new, beds felt good, kitchen was a very convenient addition. The breakfast was very good as well. Overall excellent experience.

This hotel sucks. There was an event and the staff was NOT prepared. We drove 3 hours to get here, checked in 3 hours early and no room was available. The lobby was full of people getting ready for the event and there were people just walking in and checking in even though we got there hours before them.

Unable to get our room when we got there at 4:30, had to get ready in the lobby bathroom. Then after the concert, had some difficulty getting checked in.

Hotel room was not ready and almost missed a concert. Had to settle with a lesser room and no financial compensation.

Front desk person was great! This is a plce for young single people to stay. People in halls yelling and drinking very loud and to top it all off the indoor pool was out! I will NIT GO BACK HERE AGAIN
