Hotel near the train station about 5 mins walk. Room is clean as well. Stayed here for the Glacier Express the next day. Convenient and definitely recommended!

Vor der Reisemit dem Glacier Express eine Nacht im Hotel verbracht. Sehr freundlicher Empfang - die nötigen Informationen wurden ohne Nachfrage direkt vermittelt. Kleines Einzelzimmer im herrlichen Arvendekor, für eine Nacht ausreichend. Bemerkenswert : auf jedem Stockwerk werden den Gästen kostenlos Äpfel dargeboten.Das ganze Hotel & Restaurant sehr sauber. Nachtessen ( Réservation empfohlen ) war für mich als Koch "DER" Aufsteller. Kalbsbäggli geschmort mit einer herrlichen Pommes Mousseline - freut mich dass dieses Gericht immer mehr dem Osso Buco den Rang abläuft. Die Weinkarte kann man bereits Online begutachten : vor Ort fällt die Auswahl schwer. Seperater Frühstückraum mit einer vielfältigen Auswahl an Speisen. In allen Raümen sind Kunstwerke von Bündner Künstlern anzutreffen - ein zusätzlicher Genuss. Preis Leistung in Hotel und Restaurant perfekt - ganz klar N° 1 am Platz. Gerne wieder....

We stayed at another hotel but had an amazing dinner here while in Chur. Our server, Alessia was funny and charming and made us feel very comfortable. The menu choices were varied and lots to try that were regional or local dishes. We felt so welcomed and even received a cookbook to take home with us at the end of the meal! A fantastic evening overall!

This hotel is VERY BASIC. Tiny rooms tiny bathroom. They added a wood floor to the main part of our room that is about 2” above the hallway.. of course they don’t warn you about it... I fell on my way in to my room, luckily I grabbed my luggage just before hitting the hard floor and saved myself an injury… my husband tripped on the way out of the bathroom and nearly broke his toes… this is a ridiculous thing to do in a hotel room! Tiny bathroom with tiny shower and no way to take a shower without flooding the room… luckily we had that 2” raised floor outside the bathroom so we didn’t flood the entire room! Yes, that’s sarcasm! We were with a group and breakfast and dinner were included for our tour… Breakfast.. meager… not what I expect in Europe…also, we got there after some of our group and food was not replenished , we only got what was left… Dinner, very little choice, ONE WAITRESS for 35 people serving 3 courses AND DRINKS… need I say more….

Ich hatte das Vergnügen als Bernerin im Hotel Stern zu Abendessen. Schon die Begrüssung war äusserst herzlich. Das essen absolut fantastisch . Und da kann ich es wirklich nicht unterlassen die REFA Alessia Rudin zu erwähnen , durch ihr herzliches , kompetentes bedienen ,hat sie uns diesen Abend ....zu einem grandiosen Abend gemacht. Old style hotel close to train station, shops and old town. Very friendly and helpful staff. Our room was clean and had plenty of amenities but it was its location that let it down. Corridor outside was an overflow area for spare dining chairs and at times cleaning and dining stores. There was noise above us every evening and early morning in what sounded like a venue being set up.

The hotel was well located and our room was well appointed and reasonably spacious. The staff were excellent with a particular mention for the reception staff who were very helpful. Our disappointment was the room location. The corridor to our room was used as a storage area for chairs and on occasions catering and cleaning equipment. However the main problem was noise. The room above appeared to be used as a communal area and whilst the noise wasn’t excessive it did last on occasions until midnight and started again at 5 am. The footsteps etc. were generally not loud enough to wake you in a deep sleep but annoying enough to stop you going back to sleep once awake. If we do stay again would definitely be choosy about the room offered.

When I booked this hotel, I hadn't researched it. I just selected it because it was one of the few rooms still available within driving distance to Davos for the WEF. It turned out to be a lovely experience! The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the room cozy, clean and stocked with all amenities and the rate a bargain! I would highly recommend this hotel and would certainly stay here again.
