We stayed at tsinandali estate for 5 days from the 1st to 6th of October. We are a young couple with a baby of 2years. My wife was 5 months pregnant at that time. We booked originally the junior suite but upgraded to the best suite before reaching the hotel few days before. (this is the best room and most expensive one: in total for the room it was 2873 EUR so 575 EUR per night). All that to say that we had expectations on the service to match the cost...however it hasn't been up to expectations. The estate is beautiful, the outdoor and indoor facilities of the domain are awesome, no complains about that. But however the service does not follow. First of all, I found the suite rather small for this price. Anyway, the poor experiences starts off when we arrived on the 1st Oct afternoon, after 2h30 drive from Tbilisi. No vallet /bell boy came to help us with the luggages or the car we had to explicitly request help, on the other hand, we were promptly asked to move the car from the entrance because of some events (others guests needing the space). I was supprised that they did not offer these services naturally. Then we were told at the reception that the room wasn't ready and have a walk and wait for an hour. We went to the restaurant with our 2Y old baby only to find out more than 2h later that the room wasn't ready yet. Finally we were given a standard room to wait...no update was given, I had to go multiple times to the reception and call for updates. A the end the room was given very late past 7pm and thankfully the upgrade was not charged for the 1st night as a gesture however the damage was done. The poor experience continues then. Having to change room with a baby close to sleeping time etc..when we finnaly got the room, the wooden baby crib was broken (the baby could arm himself with the broken arms of the crib but apparently the staff didn't bother to check.). It needed to be changed, it was yet already near time to sleep for our baby. we had to ask for additional towel for the baby every single day because they were not planned and towels were removed during daily cleaning and replaced only by 2 big towels. The staff/hotel management appeared very cheap with the toiletries and amenities, as they would only change it if you utilise it fully (however remember that we are still paying 575 EUR a night remember..), there was one day especially when the room was not vaccum on the Oct 4th, it was obvious because the baby had drop biscuits the day before... I just don't understand how can this be possible on a suite, the best suite? This was what trigger ma discussion with the reception and the manager and although they finally cleaned the room afterwards and addressed our demands, yet again the damage was already done in a sense that our experience was tarnished. Eventually to cut it short, no further compensation /commercial gesture was granted.
