白鹿旅館(The White Hart Inn)

Such a sanctuary! The place is cosy, the food is substantial, and the staff are friendly and helpful. I will definitely return.

閣樓上漂亮舒適的房間。房間新裝修，乾淨溫馨。盡量不要帶大件行李，因為通往閣樓的樓梯相當狹窄。

There was only one member of staff running everything and no-one came out to us. I eventually went to find someone. We were booked for 3 adults. There was one double bed. Mattress way too soft. The showers made an awful noise, could be heard all down corridor. We were not offered to upgrade for breakfast. The kettle in the room was full of dirt. When we left there was no-one of nowhere to leave room key, only a notice stating £10 charge for not leaving key. Eventually we left the key behind the bar in the garden, couldn’t wait to get out

很棒的住宿體驗。房間基本上而乾淨，淋浴和連接浴室很棒。早上工作人員有點吵，但這是酒吧交易的一部分。 友好的酒吧。前面的停車位非常有限。不過可以提供路邊停車位。總而言之，這是一個很棒的預算選擇，並且會再次入住。

The worst place we have ever stayed! On arrival we was greeted by the owner who was very rude, sarcastic and very unwelcoming. Our 2 sets of keys didnt open the outer door so we informed the owner and he came out with 'your obviously doing it wrong' then when he tried he struggled aswell due to faulty locks. When we entered the room it was flithy, extremely hot and we had to ask for toilet roll. When we asked for a fan they didnt have one to provide. Under the beds were disgusting, looks like they havent been pulled out and cleaned in ages. Used cotton buds and rubbish found underneath. Beds were uncomfortable, felt like you was laying on bricks. The whole experience in the place was not upto standard at all. Although it states on-site parking i wouldnt really call it that. Theres 3 spaces outside the pub for vehicle's which were always occupied meaning we had to park on the street (not the one which the pub is located on due to permits). Kettle mouldy, tap is thick in grime! No cold water. Hole in the patched up wall, cobwebs eveywhere, mouldy shower. See photos for evidence. The experience in the bar area wasn't much better they had a sign up saying no under 21s allowed when asked what it meant he said 'that they are up because the cause to much trouble!' We asked for the darts and he apparently couldnt find them even though the bar maid said they had some. The list could go on!! Defiantly would not recommend staying here!

Very friendly staff good food, we enjoyed the nice pub atmosphere in the evening

The floor boards creaked like the wreck of the Hesperus; and we appeared to have the German Olympic walking team training in the room above us from an unearthly hour. Despite meals being part of the deal there was no flexibility in this and we either just too early or just too late; the manager being somewhat intransigent in this matter. The pub seemed to be dying a death, which was unfortunate because it was quite homely and had a fabulous beer garden. However, despite beer pump badges being visible there was no real ale available. This might explain, in part, the lack of customers.

There was no hot water and the doors were not proper the staff and service were not available when required nonproper instructions
