It's a good hotel for family and people who want near darling harbour but in cheaper price.

Great price and location close to Haymarket and Darling Harbour area. Easy walking distance took us less then 10mins to Chinatown. Hotel was beautifully appointed, bed very comfy and clean. Breakfast included scrambled eggs, bacon, baked beans, toast, cereal, fruit, yoghurt and pastries. OJ, Tea and instant coffee. Perfect! Parking was a 1 minute walk away and $25 for 24 hours over the weekend with plenty of spaces available - not sure if its more on weekdays. Would definitely book again.

First stay at the Vulcan Hotel and it was very nice! The room matched the pictures in the previews. The place was clean and service was as expected for a professional hotel - seamless, easy and friendly. We stayed in the superior queen bedroom and the ensuite was adequate - clean. It was small and a little challenging for larger guests, but comfortable. Tv was limited to free tv and only some channels - Netflix and others available if you’re willing to sign in for yourself. Only complaints were hearing traffic through closed windows. A bit of a constant dull buzzing from the city life. Bed was clean and nice, however very soft which is not to our liking (either rolling in or out from each other and feeling every movement). Overall, close to dining and shopping if willing to walk about 10 mins. Parking was reasonably easy at the UTS underground park, a 7 minute walk. Very nice hotel and would absolutely stay there again happily.

We were allowed to check in early which was great because we were so tired. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Central Station and Haymarket. Breakfast was wonderful.

I don’t know what star rating this hotel is but it seems like 2.5? 3? I know there will be excuses about the place being a boutique hotel etc but I was a little surprised they charged for espresso drinks. Seemed a little strange for the type of hotel it presents itself as online. The staff were amazing. I had an issue with the toilet and was moved. Then I had an issue with the sound and the next door neighbor and I was moved. The staff were very gracious about it. The rooms are dated, but clean. Breakfast was fair. Location was less than desired but if you like the bus and google maps … you’ll enjoy this place. It’s about a 15 minute walk to get to Chinatown.

It's been a few years since I have been to the Vulcan Hotel, but I'm glad to see that it is still at a very high standard. The reception staff were very efficient and friendly and the room was comfortable and very clean. The whole hotel had the feel of being well looked after. It's a very short walk up to Broadway with lots of buses to the city, and an easy walk to wonderful Glebe Point Road. The rooms were very quiet. All in all, an exceptional stay.
