Older hotel with a layout that makes it a bit difficult to find your room. Vaulted ceilings with a private balcony are a classy touch. Very clean.

The paper signs posted at entrance and exits were negative and set a poor tone. The property is 5 miles out of town. “Absolutely no early check-ins”. What were we supposed to do out there for 20-minutes? Hang out and stare at the desk clerk? So awkward!! This property is in Umatilla, not Hermiston btw.

We enjoyed our time at the quality inn, it was to bad they were remodeling the lounge, so we had to find a place in Hermiston to eat, which we were pleased with, breakfast was good, i have to give a shout out to joann the evening clerk, she was so friendly and helpful,, that i felt like i had made a friend. If traveling again id definitely rebook with them, and hopefully the lounge will be open.

Cons: you could tell the shower hadn't been cleaned so I was doubtful that much else had been cleaned or wiped down thoroughly, walls are SUPER thin so while there wasn't much noise being made I could still hear everything (people's tv, housekeeping every morning), I hated that the key card had to be swiped instead of tapped (super inconvenient as my hands were always full), there was like 4 channels that worked and the reception was terrible to say the least plus the volume had to be maxed out to hear over the heater which was extremely noisy, the heater blew cold air if set under 77 (didn't understand that). Pros: very spacious, breakfast was decent for the price, conveniently located by a market/gas station, extra counter space in the room where coffee/ice are set up, sofa chair was better than just having an office chair.

Breakfast was not bad they have a decent selection and the staff was nice. But cleanliness was horrible the toilet had urine on the outside of the bowl the shower had soaps scum and mildew. And the cold water stopped working couldn't shower because that water was boiling hot.

At 8am I had a knock on my door... more like a knock & walk in. I had the security locker on the door or she would of walked right in. I asked her what she was doing? She said oh sorry you dnt have to check out tell 11. I looked at her & slammed the door shut. I did notify the front desk.

Loved the location and the bar and grill on the property. Downfall is there are no elevators so if you at on the 2nd floor you are dragging your luggage up and down 13 stairs. My husband and I are 68 and he has COPD. Quite a challenge but we made it.

Our room had broken peices in the "hardwood" flooring in main room. shower head was broken from the wall and lazily fixed. corners by bathtub floor were gross with other peoples hair, dirt, etc. The TV flickered NON STOP whatever you were watching.

My only complaint with the hotel from this stay would be when I checked in. When my family walked in and I walked up to the desk to check-in we were not greeted. I stood at the counter for a solid 3 mins before the gal put a finger up and said 1 min while she was working on her computer. Not impressed with that at all. The pool was lovely. The area doesn't have much around but that isn’t the fault of the hotel.
