Gorgeous HOTEL, Amazing Staff. The bed was heaven.

We stayed back at the Lumen since last month. Again the location is great for all of Dallas and easy access to Love Field and SMU. Snyder plaza stores and restaurants are walkable. A 7-Eleven open late is right next door. Parking is limited with no self parking anywhere and Valet $35. Valet service however is excellent. The smaller rooms can suffer from the A/C blowing directly on the beds. A drape or vent would correct that. The mid sized rooms are plenty enough and well appointed. All in all very comfy place to rest, and quiet. The price was a little high and there are lots of options in Dallas, but again the location was key. The Front Restaurant needs some work. It is open for breakfast and dinner only. Breakfast was very weak and way overpriced this trip. The bar and bartenders are great, but we did not try dinner after the breakfast experience. A real strength here is the staff. Everyone is pleasant and helpful. Terri, Tanya, and Gilbert at the front desk were great. Julie in sales was most helpful. All said, we will be back next month and post an update.

The property is very dated and was under construction. There was no mention of that at the time of booking (approx 2 weeks prior to check in date). When I arrived, the front desk attendant didn't ask for my ID, which was a red flag. Could anyone come in and get a room key? The room itself was very run down with dirty pillowcases and trash still in the trash can. There's also no coffee machine...just a hot water pot with powder coffee/creamer. The restaurant was closed during the day so no option for lunch. Wifi was weak, when it worked at all. And to top it off, there was no hot water the morning we had an early check out.

We came in to an event across the street. The property was easily accessible, small and calm, and had valet parking. The lobby was nice and the pool area was a pleasant place to relax. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, especially Terri at the front desk. Check in was easy. The room was large and comfortable, clean and well decorated. There was a mini frig and safe in good condition. There is a bit of noise from other rooms, closing doors in the hall, and stomping from the room above. However, the A/C has full control so the fan could be left on to mitigate that. Also the surrounding area is quiet. The location is great for SMU, Uptown, Highland Park, and Downtown-very central. Snyder Plaza next door has several eating establishments and gas station with a 7-11. Breakfast and dinner are available on site and the bar open until 10 or 11. Everything is a little pricey, but it is Dallas. Overall this is a great base for a stay in Dallas, very comfortable with pleasant a**osphere.

Went for a tennis tournament on campus. Location was beyond perfect. Walking distance to… everything. The staff was very friend and helpful. The pictures of the room did not do justice. We had a kitchen, dinning, and a full balcony. Would stay here again without question. The staff did say that they were purchased by Graduate hotels. We have stayed at those too and have nothing but good things to share.

Stay was good and the staff was friendly! Location was excellent and close to fun food options etc. My biggest negative would be not having some decent coffee complimentary. To spend xxx of dollars I feel like you should be able to get some complimentary coffee and water of decent quality. Floor plan of the room felt dated as bed was next to a window(so access from one side only) and bathroom was hard to navigate for 2 people with doors in the way, etc.

I’m a repeat guest and love The Lumen for its location and boutique feel. Friendly service and quick checkin. Our room was dark and needs a little more light. The Lumen also need a free coffee bar down in the lobby as in years past

Great location but no housekeeping available for entire stay over Memorial Day weekend of 3 nights, despite requesting twice in person at the desk each morning. Had to go to the desk to get fresh towels for the 3rd day. Also, bottom sheet wasn’t large enough to tuck under so just laid on top of the mattress, coming off immediately. Overall disappointing…

The people here are amazingly friendly and among the nicest in all of my travels. Loved the pool and the rooftop terrace. the restaurant was also delicious and the staff was amazing. Just keep in mind that parking is Valet only
