尚佩恩温德姆唄盟套房酒店(Baymont by Wyndham Champaign)

The property was not terribly clean, but my main complaint is that we stayed there on homecoming weekend and they tripled their price over their normal prices. It was around $367 per night for what is basically the level of a Motel 6 or Red Roof Inn! Outrageous price gouging.

I stayed there and on the third day I had enough I found a roach once a day so I just let the staff know and the moved me to the third floor which there were no signs of roaches until I open my bag and seen on dart out instantly I was checking out I told my mom about it and she made me throw away my luggage so I feel the site in all is good but baymont in don't sleep on first floor! I need a couple free stays or something my luggage was worth 1k easily

Checking in went fine and was a pleasant experience. What terrified me was that a man tried coming into my room; thankfully he couldn’t because the latch was on, but it made me extremely uncomfortable. The hotel key unlocks the deadbolt, so the only thing that stopped the door from fully opening was the latch. He didn’t say a word and left. I called the front desk and was brushed off, told: “we’ll have someone look into it”. Mistakes and accidents of course happen, but there should be some accountability and at the very least, safety should be taken more seriously.

We had 3 rooms and 2/3 had issues. It was clean so that was nice but 1 room had 2-3 inches of water when you were showering (covering your feet).. and the second room that had an issue was with the air. It was broken, so no a/c but also couldn’t even just use fan mode for air circulation so that was a little stuffy and hot overnight

I liked that it was 10 minutes from Urbana and 5 from Champaign! It really made travel easy! It was also very clean and the staff were friendly.

Some of the clerks were a bit surly. It was very very basic; not that we were expecting the Ritz, but price was incredibly high ($400 per night!)

The stay was pleasant and very close to Neil st. Most of our dining out and taverns were within just a few miles.
