Dolce Uvita was the perfect spot for us. Silvia was a great communicator and was so helpful making arrangements ahead of time and giving us suggestions for things to do locally during our 4 night stay. The setup of Dolce Uvita made things easy too. There is a Tico restaurant onsite, open 3 meals a day if you choose to go there. We especially loved the fresh fruit smoothies for breakfast. The grounds have several different seating areas among the beautiful gardens and the shared outdoor kitchen made simple food prep very doable. The place is very clean and having AC available made sleeping comfortable. A highlight for us was their Italian restaurant, where Fernando does the cooking and makes everything from scratch. You need to make reservations the day before and let him know what you want to eat because it will be made special for you. The ravioli and lemon fish were just perfect! They also prepared a charcuterie plate for us one night, we bought a very nice bottle of Italian wine from their selection and ate by ourselves at one of the outdoor tables, making for a delightful evening. Silvia and Fernando have a beautiful little place and you could not ask for kinder hosts. Staying with them was a most memorable ending for our 3 weeks in Costa Rica and we thank them for that!
