Sonder at Revival

Like the ease of check in unfortunately the shower bathroom was disgusting glob hair and old shower rubber *****ping full of scunge I was compensated for this and the sent someone to clean it the next day otherwise it was fine and easy to contact although there overseas phillipines and I was in Canada but they were very friendly and helpful

There are some good things about this hotel, such as the location and a full, well-equipped kitchen, but there are also some significant negatives. The room was clean, but the balcony was filthy with bird poop, peanut shells, and litter. The layout of the hotel is very poor. We had to walk over 200 steps from the parking lot to our hotel room through a maze of halls. No luggage carts. When entering from the parking garage, if your room is on 3rd floor, you have to carry your bags up a flight of stairs as there is no access to an elevator from there. In an attempt to find a way out of the hotel without going through the maze, we tried to take a different set of stairs, and found ourselves locked in the stairwell. This was NOT marked as an emergency exit. There were doors to the mall and doors to the garage, but they were all locked and the door we came in through had no handle, no keypad, no way to escape other than go through an emergency exit that had an alarm. We didn't want to set off the alarm so spent about 15 minutes calling and sending chat messages to Sonder. and eventually an employee came and let us out. If we hadn't had our phones I don't know how we would have gotten out. I wanted to speak with manager about putting a warning sign on door. Told manager not in until morning. In morning, again asked to speak with manager. Got a message back that it could be 24-48 hours before I would get a response.

The room was clean and spacious. Nothing fancy but had everything we needed. The only minor issue that came up was that the heat stopped working on the 2nd night and it was December with snow. However the staff was very quick and responsive and came by shortly with portable plug in heaters. The full kitchen is a plus. The amenities cabinet is a bit lacking- would've been nice if there were some toothbrushes or toothpaste. Overall would recommend.

The property is surrounded with many shops, cafes and awesome food places. And it’sa walkable distance to Robson St., English Bay and Stanley Park. If you feel like burning lots of captures and taking your daily steps in, walking along English Bay to get to Granville Island is such a refreshing thing to do in the mornings. I love Sonder!!

Very clean inside and out. Our driver from airport said we will enjoy our stay. Our room was very well decorated and comfortable. Space to move around without bumping into each other. Close to bike rental shop.

We loved staying at Sonder! It was reasonably priced and perfect for all our needs. The full kitchen with brand new appliances was amazing and helped us save some money on some meals. The room itself was huge and everything was new and clean. The bathroom and bath products were really nice. The neighborhood is so good - walking distance to a great bakery and really good Asian food. It was great value for money and we would definitely stay here again. One thing that didn't work was the automatic room key via the app, so we had to keep manually entering a long key code to enter the building and our room. I still prefer this to plastic card key waste though. The other thing is that they should provide a compost bin in the kitchen.

Clean and safe apartments. Early check in process poor given technology problems and frustrating because there is no front desk to speak to, chat service slow to respond for assistance. The room I had didn’t have good blinds and had hallway lights shining through all night which wasn’t great. Note there is no safe or laundry. The occasional staff I saw were very friendly. This has the potential to be a five star place to stay if these few issues are resolved. I’d avoid staying here again without these things improved on. I recommend hotel management try staying there themselves to get an appreciation of the customer experience and finesse based on their findings.
