印度斯坦海灘靜修處(Hindustan Beach Retreat)

Our stay at Hindustan Beach Retreat in Varkala was a complete letdown. From start to finish, it was a mess. The people working there weren't helpful at all. The pool was so dirty we couldn't use it, and the beach view they promised was nowhere near as nice as they showed in the pictures. The food was terrible - some of it was even uncooked! They kept running out of stuff, and when they did have it, it took forever to get served. Housekeeping didn't care about our requests. We asked for bandages, and they said they'd bring them, but they never did. We had to go looking for them ourselves. The reception was a joke. There was hardly ever anyone there, so if you needed something, tough luck. And to top it off, they charged us way too much for simple things like a can of soft drink but they did not even co****sate for the unavailable amenities we were promised and were included in the room charges. Overall, it was a disaster. We paid good money for 4 rooms with good view, which was supposed to be a great stay, but it turned out to be a total waste. Don't make the same mistake we did - steer clear of Hindustan Beach Retreat.

I stayed in this beautiful resort which is right by the beach. One can get the best of the beach view sitting in their rooms. Mr. Anoop was so kind enough a person who did all arrangements for us there. I met the GM there who was so nice in guiding us about places to see around. The most interesting part of this place is their southindian thali meal that they serve during lunch. It was much more than awesome. A great place for someone to be there to relax and go stress free. I will defenitely recommend this place to all my friends and relatives.

I had a very pleasant stay. Overall the property is not very big but clean and well kept. Room size is very good. For 3 people even after extra bed we had enough space to move around freely. The view is amazing, you can see the entire Varkala beach and Location is their biggest plus point. The hotel is right on the beach with easy access to both the cliff and all the water sports. Breakfast buffet has the yummiest filter coffee and small but good spread.

This place is well located right by the stunning beach with some great cafes & shops nearby. Also on the 5th floor is a bar/restaurant with great sunset views across the bay. The room was spacious & also had a great view over the pool & beach, but it loses one star due to the aircon. It had 2 modes, on or off! Adjusting the speed or temperature did nothing. We'd willingly stay here again though, and probably will.

Verey nice veiw and decoration at tje top floor BUT extremely nonchalant and not prfessionel service. The missed an extra order to my food. I waited for a long tim. First happy when i thought it would be fresh coocked but when too long time passed U tried to contact borh of the 2 waiters. Both looked everyvhere else left in to the ceiling. (?ee ehere the only gests). The rest of my food got cold. After 35 minutes i rise upp and rhen it becane vlear the forgotten the order ! We paid and whent and got a very small ” sorry”. The standard ( and prices) looks a bit over generall so do not let it lead you to go there for a nice meal.

On the beach kilometres of sand n surf, great view from the rooms, spacious rooms, good breakfast, near the multiple restaurants and shopping area. Please Upgrade to lumber supporting mattresses, new upholstery of furniture and TV. This is the best located property on Papnasam Beach.

Stayed in Room #303- have best views of the pool and beach. I think this hotel has best views from the room in Varkala. Little outdated furniture, but the ***agement is trying best to keep it up. Breakfast could be better and staff could be more trained to deal with non-Malayalam speaking guests.

We have recently booked the hotel on 9th to 12th of July 2022. My experience with this hotel is horrible and life taking, since I got locked in bathroom for one hour. In middle of night I woke to use rest room and I closed to the door from inside and got locked 🔒 and could not open the door from inside. By the time i was locked my husband was sleeping and was not aware that I am locked. There is phone inside the bathroom but no one was receiving a call. By the time my husband woke up by my screaming he tried to open the door with outside key but it could not help us . he went down to find some person on the staff who can help us to get me out of bathroom. my husband found one person to help us and he tried every possible way to open the door from outside but could not open and finally decided to break the door. by the time he was break thr door the noise was too much so entire hotel people got disturbed and could not sleep properly and i was alone locked inside the bathroom and could not tolerate the noise it was making while breaking thr doo. it was life taking experience for me . i would not recommend this hotel to anyone . its horrible and life taking experience. i was finding my self help less inside the bathroom and its was horrible one hours of my life. please please be aware of this kind of hotel .. i was lucky so i came out of bathroom alive .. if you care for your loved once. never eve prefer this hotel. apart from all horrible experience the view everyone is talking about is not at tall good . its not at tall beach vie. and you cant even stand of beach side of seat on thr beach side since there are lots of pandals and they will be performing some pooja and all pooja stuff they put into beach side

I stayed with a tour group over New Year's Eve at the end of 2022. The Hindustan has, without doubt, the best view and location down at the beach. The rooms are quite large, with a nice seating area at the window. Everything was clean, but there were signs of rust in the bathroom and a few minor maintenance issues (see photo). The rooms overlook the beach, which was ideal for the New Year fireworks. Rooms also overlook the swimming pool, which also has a slightly-warmer spa. Deckchairs and towels are provided. A daily breakfast is provided in the top-floor restaurant (but is not always ready at the advertised time) and we also enjoyed a special buffet dinner on New Year's Eve -- I'm not sure what type of dinner is normally available. The hotel even gave every guest a lovely gift basket for New Year's Eve. There's not a lot of interesting shops in the area -- a few small restaurants and convenience stores, plus a street vendor selling snacks. You'll probably spend your time at the pool and the beach, or take a walk ***** the beach to access the stairs leading to the cliff-top.
