老燈籠旅館及穀倉(The Old Lantern Inn and Barn)

Quando penso ad un tipico alloggio di campagna del Vermont mi viene in mente senza dubbio questo. Camere romantiche con mobili di legno e letti altissimi, giardino vivibile e curatissimo, la cortesia tipica del New England. Davvero un piccolo gioiellino. Non do il massimo perché la colazione va migliorata, ma consiglio questo alloggio senza remore a chi vuole passare un weekend in tranquillità tra le campagne di uno Stato meraviglioso

The host was a lovely person who made the stay worthwhile. Recommended a fabulous restaurant for dinner - best part of stay. Bed was very noisy; creaked when getting in/out and with movements causing disruptive sleep. Although website advertises air conditioning, the control was in one location so it was basically nonexistent making for a warm stay. Room had fans but still warm. False advertising re air conditioning. Very early in morning (4 am) a loud machine kicked on waking us. Thought it was the house AC but uncertain. Bathroom was small but adequate. Curtain was too short so water ran out onto flooring. Breakfast was continental style and adequate. Restaurant and host were the two positives; wouldn't stay there again due to inability to get a decent night's rest.

Re staff and service, we never saw a single human being from the property. There was no one to check us in and no one around at all during the breakfast hour? Everything was self serve and fine, but one does like some human contact. How do they build relationships otherwise?

The room was small. It had a Queen size bed and a small bathroom. No TV, refrigerator or microwave were in the room. There was a small common refrigerator in the hallway. There was no ice available. The free breakfast was good with coffee, yogurt, Chex cereal, and fruit.

This B&B had potential but it was not fulfilled. The building itself is nice, and the grounds are beautiful and spacious. But the list of its deficiencies is considerable. The “breakfast” was minimal, to say the least - basically only sweet hot and cold cereal (and the latter had to be awkwardly poured from a large, unhygienic container) and a coffee machine that I had to figure out how to turn on. No breads or muffins, or unsweetened cereals, or choices of fresh fruits. Quite disappointing. Our room was clean but poorly decorated, and a bed table lamp didn’t work. (We couldn’t find a place to plug it in.) Finally, a sign showing where to check in would have been most helpful. (We had to call the owner to find out what building to go to.) Overall, I’d have to say that this place is not a good value.

Beautiful property in a peaceful setting. Inn was clean and well maintained. The host were really nice folks.

Not easy to find actual house. Very friendly owner. Very clean & quiet

Nice place to stay when visiting Burliington.

Good experience, enjoyed the common room and amenities. The views were good from there.
