Golf Club ist ok. Das Essen im Restaurant ist perfekt. Schon lange nicht mehr auf diesem Niveau gegessen. Der Service das personal und die Kombination der Gerichte wahr perfekt. Die Aussicht ist perfekte. Zu empfehlen ist das Menü mit Wein Empfehlung.

Tudo começou muito mal. Ficamos numa Villa com 3 quartos, a limpeza era má e existiam formigas nas camas. Na 1 manhã, o pequeno almoço que, estaria incluído numa box a entregar na villa, mais não era que apenas pão, croissant e maçãs. Vem a limpeza e não estava a par da necessidade de uma limpeza mais profunda. Posto isto, decidimos solicitar o cancelamento da reserva e ir para outro hotel. A recepção do hotel, nomeadamente a direção, é completamente inacessível é incapaz de lidar com os clientes. Após 2 horas e com muita chatice a mistura, la nos mudaram para um apartamento sem formigas e limpo. Em suma, o que queríamos era uma estadia de 5*, numa villa limpa e com pequeno almoço … é pedir muito? No final tivemos isso, mas depois de muita chatice! Resumindo: um hotel de um potencial enorme, com pouco cuidado no detalhe e na experiência com o cliente.

Booked a year ago to play this course which was highly recommended. There was 8 of us all looking forward to playing one of the best courses in Portugal or so we thought! The company we booked through told me that the course would be fine by the time we were due to play after hearing the bad reports. My advice to anyone going to play this course is don't,cancel and play somewhere else.they don't have any water for the fairways which are terrible by the way even though we were told by the starter that you can prefer lies on fairway. They are still charging full price to play here which is a disgrace & the greens are just ok.so disappointed

Just returned from a golf trip, where 24 of us were looking forward to playing Monte Rei. Wow, what a layout but equally WOW, how disappointing was the condition. The fairways were bone dry and the greens, although watered were slow and average at best! 🤷‍♂️ They have suffered from last year’s drought and as this is still early season, conditions will only deteriorate over the summer. Such a shame as it’s a great venue but I’d certainly recommend going elsewhere and not paying the very high green fees.

Golfers, please be warned that the fairways are bone dry and require placing everywhere. No reduction in green fees to reflect this. Very disappointing.

Played a round of golf with my wife at 1.12pm April 22nd., both mid-handicappers.They don’t pair players with others and tee off at 12 min intervals. Therefore, a nice feeling of being unrushed and distracted. The welcome and attention given prior to play was excellent in a calming environment. The starter was very informative and courteous. We thankfully had a buggy as we recorded over 8 miles covered by a GPS watch. Not sure if a buggy is compulsory. The course design is very impressive as it meanders through the hills with each hole set apart from the others. There are a number of elevated tees and greens with penal, plentiful bunkers everywhere. Accuracy of shots is paramount and length less important. Miraculously, we lost only two balls in total between us ! Pace of play was good as we hardly saw other players and took around 4+ hours. The course condition is not good, fairways in particular being bare and hard in places, although I suspect it is improving from last year’s drought. Then, comes the cost, which is hefty, at well over Euro200. I enjoyed the experience but am not drawn back for another round.

On arriving at the reception we were greeted by a lady at the desk all official but very welcoming, we checked in and were taken to our 2 bed apar**ent, on opening the door we were astounded at the size and attention to detail, a very large sitting room, amply equipped kitchen and dining area and bedrooms with king sized comfy beds, plenty of hot water for showers and baths and a large outside garden space with tables, chairs and sun loungers. The food was buffet style breakfast but on one occasion it came from the kitchen as it was early in the season and limited visitors. The golf course was challenging with 12 minute tee times so you had the feel of millionaires golf as you barely saw other golfers. the resort is out of the way but a 25 minute taxi ride gets you to a small village along side a river with bars and restaurants
