北極風酒店(Motel Arctic Wind)

Wir haben das Motel für unsere letzten Nacht auf Island gebucht um möglichst nah am Flughafen zu sein. Man braucht lediglich 20 Minuten nach Keflavik. Das Zimmer hat alles was man für eine Nacht benötigt und es war sehr sauber. Der telefonische Kontakt zur Absprache der Check-in-Zeit war sehr freundlich und unkompliziert. Auch der self-Check-in und Check-out war problemlos und einfach.

Stay one night in arctic wind after blue lagoon. Location is good

The site does not make it clear that there are no food and restaurants around. The motels site also makes it look like there is a shuttle service as part of the motel, but it’s only if you pay and it is expensive. Normally when a hotel rates there is shuttle service , it is part of the service and not a separate payment. I have an issue with food and did not know no food was around. I could not possibly stay there due to physical and medical reasons and they charged me even though I did not end up staying there and there was no negotiating with them. The property itself is very nice if you want a quiet place in the middle of nowhere with no shops around.

While the couple who owned the place were nice and tried their best, it is just unfortunate that the surroundings were not great. There is no store or service in the area and there is a possibility for a lot of noise as there is another hostel type unit in the backyard. The night we were there, there was a party until 3am and we did not get much sleep at all. There is also no place to sit and relax outside the unit so for two people, it was a little tight on space and not very comfortable for two nights.

Very friendly proprietor and clean room . They were kind enough to let us use their washer and dryer. They also helped map out our driving route

Loved having a kitchen facility to use and an outdoor hot tub. Gentleman checking us in was very friendly.

Great room and the host was helpful and welcoming. Close to Blue Lagoon. Great value for money. Highly recommend!
