The hotel staff didn't smile very much, but the hotel itself was clean and the room was big and nice!

The restaurant is phenomenal. Food is good, great vibe and ambience. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. However, the rooms are not as well kept as it appears. I found two bugs that were climbing up the wall from the windows, and the plumbing is horrible. The water slowly leaves the tub as you are taking a shower. Highly disappointed!

So 14 hours into the day's drive I was simply too tired to go on and yet I found myself whizzing down the freeway towards DC. All I wanted was to find a bed, a glass of wine, and a TV with the Bills/KC game on (static for first half in the WV and Maryland hills). I pulled over off some parkway and searched my app. This was honestly the first option on the closest map. And when I looked to up it seemed perfect. And in all honesty it actually was. Parking, restaurant, comfy bed, and excellent price point.

My overall stay here was great. This hotel is convenient to everything, you can really park up and walk anywhere. We found so much to do during our stay. The area is also a great plus, worth visiting. Why did I rate it a 4 and not a 5 star… well first the elevator went out for a few hours and it was around the time of New Years, so really busy to the point we had to take the steps from the 6th floor. Last, the security of the place. The elevator doesn’t require key card to get up to the room floors, so basically anyone can come up from the parking garage or lobby. But those are uncontrollable’s and the overall feel of this place was very nice.

The hotel rooms were nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. The walls were very thin and we could hear a lot happening in the hallways late at night/wee hours of the morning. Restaurant breakfast was decent but expensive. The worst parts were the very long waits for the elevators and paying for parking which was $35/day! There were only 2 elevators working ( although i heard other customers say they were down to one at one point) and they were very small. Not sufficient for the size of the hotel or number of folks staying there. Great location - lots to do within walking distance.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Bethesdan Hotel, Tapestry Collection by Hilton. The rooms were quiet, clean and beautifully decorated. The beds were extra comfy and the bathroom design was unique and useful. The complimentary filtered water station in the lobby was a much appreciated touch. We enjoyed a night cap in the bar and Henry the bartender was wonderful. We very much enjoyed our conversation with him. They were having some elevator issues which meant extra long wait times, and the parking is very pricey (which isn’t a surprise for this location) but overall we had a quick and lovely stay. I would definitely book this hotel again, hopefully when the rooftop pool is open!
