The staff was kind and informative of local things to do. We just spent one night so we could see family while they were in town (we are from Tacoma, WA) it’s located in a Safeway parking lot which would be convenient for others, we just got to the room too late so the store was closed. Hotel was clean, everyone was nice, the complimentary breakfast didn’t have many veg options but it the oa**eal hit the spot. Would definitely stay again.

I recognize by the signage after I checked in that there’s a big remodel planned. Still this is NOT the property one is accustomed to when they see the HolidayInn Express logo- most of which are new and refreshed. The elevators were dirty, the carpets worn and dirty and the room worse. The bathroom floor tile had footprints and what was likely drops of urine at the base of the toilet. The night stand, desk and bedroom furniture had fingerprints. The outside of the microwave was the same. Inside and inside the fridge were clean. The bed and bedding were good. The old fashioned wall/floor heater would not calibrate the temperature down regardless of the setting unless it was off. The neighborhood was typical Portland with a bicycle parked out front and men smoking. The Safeway and Starbucks next door was just as dirty. My husband wanted to stay at a HIE since he’d been to a new one in Montana. Now he says he won’t stay at one again. Michelle who checked us in was the one and only bright spot of this one nighter.

We had a King & Queen suite. Perfect for my family including myself, my husband and teenaged daughter. The view out our windows was worth the stay and the room stayed warm (in the winter). The rooms were clean and the housekeeper was nice to check in and give us more towels as hotel rooms are generally not serviced everyday. The front desk check in process was easy and they were friendly as we lost our key twice. The breakfast was a typically Holiday Inn which was good. The hotel is having renovations or repair and there were some odd pipes exposed in the lobby, but there were also signs to explain. Our traveling companions had water on the floor in their room upon arrival, but the quickly changed the room for them and they did not have any problems. We travel to this area often and this will be our new hotel everytime we come.

Hotel was under major renovations. It was like staying at a construction site. The prices should have been much cheaper. The breakfast was not very appetizing. Everything was soggy or overcooked. The room we stayed in was old. The bed was as hard as a table top. The shower stall was falling apart with pieces either hanging, broken, or just missing. There was dirt and grim in all of the corners. I would not stay here again.

Hotel is DIRTY! There is trash everywhere outside in flower gardens. Got to room and housekeeper missed a hanger on the floor and an open Cheeto bag. Gross! We used the pool. No towels the 1 hour we were there and our friends even went and asked for some. The pool area was SO slippery and definitely not clean. All windows in hotel are gross and dirty that you can hardly see out of them.

The clerks at check-in were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and spacious.

My stay was nice. The only issue that should be looked into: A bit of trash here and there in the hall and on the stairway and in the spa area. Maybe have a staff do rounds every hour and pick up here and there. :)
