We needed a hotel reasonably close to Memphis to catch a mid morning flight. Tru was the perfect hotel to fit our needs. It is located directly across the interstate from Southland ******. The parking lot is big enough that parking was easy. The hotel is new and clean. Zaquita greeted us on arrival and was so kind and helpful. Diamond status was acknowledged at check in. The lobby is cool! There’s a pool table and lots of seating. There’s a neat mural on the wall. There is a water/ hydration station. Our room was spacious. There’s no carpet in the rooms. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom spacious and clean, and good lighting. The TV had a personalized welcome sign, which is kinda cool for such a small hotel. We were really happy with it. No fuss, no muss. Just the basics we needed and a little extra. We’ll stay here again in the future.

We stayed at this hotel and the overall set up and room was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately during our one night stay our car was burglarized just 5 spaces of the front entrance. We will not be staying anywhere at or near this hotel during our future travels. Be Careful!

Very clean and staff was polite and helpful. The road noise from the interstate was quite loud in our room, so I would recommend asking for a room on the back side of the hotel. There was no microwave in the room, which we could have used, but the fridge was very clean and cold. The breakfast was pretty standard fare, but tastier than most free breakfast bars in hotels. Over all, we would stay here again, but would request a room on the backside of the hotel.

We stayed for three nights while enjoying Memphis. Location is convenient to the city and right off the highway. The room was small but clean. The big issue is that we could hear everything that was happening in the hallway and in the rooms next to and above us. One of the nights, people checked into the room next to us at 1:30 am. We were awakened as they entered with the door closing and they continued talking until at least 3:00. they must have slept with the TV on since we could hear noises for the rest of the night. The prior night, the people above us were walking around until around 12:30 am. Bottom line is that if you want a really good night's sleep, try someplace else. This is NOT typical Hilton quality!

The entire staff was welcoming and so friendly. They went out of their way to be helpful to me in many ways. My room was clean and cool. The coffee and breakfast was great. Any time I’ll be near this area, I won’t stay anywhere else! They make you feel at home and the location was perfect for me.

No roll aways, Walls/ceilings are thin and we had some very disrespectful people above us allowing their children to run and jump at all hours of the night. My husband had to get up out of bed and go ask the front desk staff to take care of the issue. To top it all off, the housekeeping staff did not clear the alarm set by the traveler before us and it started alarming at 6 am (and every 10 mins after, as there was no way to turn it off). The room smelled like strong chemicals when we got there and smelled strongly of sewer overnight. All that, plus not being in the greatest part of town- would not stay here again (and thankful it was just a one night stay).

Excellent hotel and value for travel. It’s new, clean, nice shower with glass door. Carpet is clean and bed very comfortable with new TV that plays Netflix. Breakfast area is modern with lots of options. Hot coffee 24/7. Much better than the other more expensive places we would stay in the area. Pets are welcome too. Grass lawns surround the property.

On the evening of April 8 during the massive traffic jam following the solar eclipse, my husband, elderly mother and myself stopped at the Tru by Hilton West Memphis to use the restroom and inquire about rooms. We had been stuck in traffic for five hours and were tired, cranky and in need of facilities. The hotel was booked up, but the front desk person was the kindest, sweetest and most helpful woman (blonde hair) I have ever encountered in hospitality. She let us use the restrooms, offered fresh coffee and tea, encouraged us to relax in the lobby lounge area for as long as we needed. She also gave us helpful tips for navigating the freeway. We stupidly did not get her name, but I wanted to leave a review and acknowledge her. She really turned our night around, and we carried on the rest of the way home (2 more hours) in MUCH better spirits. I hope the hotel management knows what a gem they have in this particular employee. And the lobby and facilities were really nice, too. I would stay here in a heartbeat.
