Everything was perfect, the service was excellent, my room was well equipped and comfortable. The atmosphere was very welcoming and I felt safe and comfortable staying there as a solo female traveler

Great hotel, lovely warm and friendly atmosphere! Room was very large and comfortable with lovely bathroom and Elemis toiletries!! Food is fantastic and staff could not be friendlier or more eager to fulfill every requirement. Truly a pleasant and relaxing stay in a beautiful location. Just what we needed ❤️

What a little gem of a place and the Hope & Anchor was lovely. Great room overlooking the sea with the sound of surf to fall asleep too. Staff welcoming and helpful. Very comfortable room. Just don’t trust your staff nav getting here

We stayed over Hope Cove weekend and it was excellent. It was busy but breakfast and service was always good. 10 of us also had a meal there which again was very good. Hope Cove is a lovely ‘bucket and spade ‘ old fashioned resort. Thoroughly recommend

The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. They couldn’t have done more to ensure our weekend went smoothly. Abbie, Anna, Rahul, Claudia, Kim, Matas, Jessie and the chef Lee are just some of the amazing team. The food was lovely and all rooms were beautiful; each with amazing views of the sea and dog friendly. A little slice of tranquility that I’d never forget.

Most enjoyable stay at the Hope & Anchor. The location is amazing, beautiful views of the beach and the coast, lovely balcony to enjoy a meal and a drink overlooking the sea. Nice and comfortable rooms, delicious food, most friendly staff.

Great pub, well kept real ale and very good food . The fish pie and Sunday roast are highly recommended . Rare to see a pub balance wet sales and food so well

Stayed one night while hiking the South West Coast Path. A nice room but we were 2 floors above the kitchen and noise from that was a bit bothersome. We had a great view however and very good espresso machine in our room.

I enjoyed everything about my visit. The pub itself is beautifully designed and my room was charming with immaculate views. At breakfast I met Natalie who was so friendly and cheerful that I did not worry I was a solo traveller. I met Jesse too who was also welcoming and I felt very relaxed in their company. Breakfast was delicious however I would have liked the option of fresh fruit. There were many personal little touches from housekeeping which complemented the experience. A beautiful stay and I would definitely visit again ❤️

What a fabulous place! The location was stunning overlooking the cove, we were met with a warm & friendly welcome, our room was comfortable with great views. Food was excellent and staff were lovely. We were treated to the most spectacular sunsets on our visit. Would recommend a stay here.

I was coming to stay at the Hope and Anchor after enjoying a previous stay. Unfortunately I had to cancel this booking, I emailed them with several weeks notice. I then received an email from them regarding the upcoming booking, I replied to say I had cancelled, again no response!! I emailed them for a third time asking for confirmation they had received the cancellation, ( used the email address provided) again no response. I then receive a telephone call tonight at 10pm!! Totally unacceptable!! They left voicemail asking when I would be arriving!! After enjoying a previous stay, I will not be booking again as clearly their cancellation is not as easy as they make it out to be. Very disappointing!

The hotel is in a great location with easy walking routes nearby. The food was very nice especially the breakfast and the staff were generally friendly. My room looked nicer in the pictures and was in need of some paintwork touching up and it was virtually impossible to close the window. I started my trip on bank holiday Monday and Hope Cove was very busy as it had a charity weekend going on. I could not get anything to eat in the evening as the hope and anchor was the only place serving food and it was manic. I also think it should be made clear there is no car parking when booking I had to park in the pay and display adjacent to the pub at £10 per day Whilst I found the staff in the hope and anchor friendly enough the male staff all referred to me as mate which I found a bit disconcerting.

Called in for Sunday lunch and was extremely impressed! The service was friendly and professional and the food was excellent. The roast beef was cooked perfectly, medium to medium rare, good veggies, generous portions with a Yorkshire pudding that was very tasty. We sat out on the terrace to enjoy the great view this pubs location offers and enjoyed the very subtle easily listening music the DJ was playing. 10/10 guys thank you!! P.S give the chocolate brownie a try, it was a big hit with my 8 year old.

The staff were very nice, the bed very comfy and the room over looked the beach, breakfast excellent, definitely will be coming back
