Lovely place to stay . View from the very comfortable room was just perfect . Going to sleep at night in a very comfortable bed and listening to the waves was lovely . All staff were very friendly and helpful , the meals we had were also excellent . We intend to return

Absolutely delightful experience: the staff, our room, the whole ambience coupled with its prime location and dining with them on the evening certainly exceeded our expectations. We stayed in room 14 and it truly was wonderful. We would return to do the same in a heartbeat ♥️

Character hotel in a stunning location. Excellent food and drinks available and staff very efficient, friendly and helpful. Will definitely visit again. Hope Cove has a great relaxing vibe, everyone seemed happy! Lots to do in surrounding areas, lovely place to visit even if weather was changeable

Amazing staff. Amazing food. Really accommodating for 5 adults and 5 dogs for food. Nice toilets that actually give loads of space to move around in the cubicle that was an added bonus. The pub was busy and obviously the best choice as it was clean and excellent taste in decor.

Really lovely 3 night stay, with excellent friendly and helpful staff, wonderful food, delicious actually. Great location with a terrace for looking at the sea with a glass of wine and watching the sun go down. What more can you ask for. The dining area had sea views too. Rooms were quaint and very clean with a sea view. Very accommodating manager as we were concerned about scaffolding but it was all ok and didn’t spoil our stay or our view. Very peaceful and the quietest little cove with some truly spectacular scenery nearby.Love

What a lovely place. An amazing hotel in an amazing location. The restaurant and bar is excellent too. Our room was like a suite with a living room area and tv. There was a main bedroom with a view of the bay and a separate bedroom for the children. Nigel (Raynes Park)

The Hope & Anchor is a wonderful hotel, in a secluded but pleasant cove. It has a great bar and dining rooms, complimented by a fabulous and attentive staff. The food is also delicious. The only fault we found was in the room we were allocated. It was a family room called ‘The Cabin’. We didn’t like it. It was too big (for a couple); too dark (old-fashioned furniture which was not to our taste); it had no kettle (we are not coffee drinkers); and the bedside lamps didn’t work. We would definitely go back though - to a smaller, double room 👍

Location lovely. Accommodation was comfortable and warm. The staff were attentive and helpful. On the downside, dinner on our first night was average, we had to wait ages for our main course. We had the impression that they were short staffed.

Great location and very welcoming and attentive staff. Our room was well equipped with views of the beach. Lots of car parking space which is chargeable. Breakfast was also very good. Would definitely return for a longer visit . Booked for a surprise birthday resent for my wife.

We stayed at The Hope and Anchor as a large group celebrating my friend's 60th birthday. The rooms were good and the bed was very comfortable. Most of us were there two nights. Our waiter was fabulous and on the Saturday night which was our celebration evening he provided us with bottles of Prosecco, which was such a lovely surprise! The food was excellent, the worst thing was having to choose which delicious item from the menu to go for, the choice was so good! I definitely recommend this place to stay. I should also say that the location is spectacular!

ET here twice during our stay in Hope Cove, first time food was good and service great. Second time it could not have been different, food was disappointing, service was poor - couldn’t care attitude! Breakfast tables set up around us as we finished dinner, had to return a main course, asked for water multiple times… Amazing how different a place can be from a Tuesday to Thursday, big disappointment!

Cosy & comfy rooms, friendly staff, well located for nearby beaches and walks. The rooms were fairly modern and the air conditioning was welcomed! One aspect I would suggest is the paid car park should be included for residents within nightly costs.

Nicely decorated, spacious rooms with sea view. Very efficient and well maintained shower. Lovely comfortable bed and pillows. Nespresso machine with fresh milk and large bottle of water in fridge. Evening meal and breakfast were excellent. Staff were friendly and efficient. Would love to go again

Had a Great meal here with the family in a perfect setting overlooking hope cove. Excellent service from Hamish, who was helpful and courteous. Have been coming to this area for 30 years and always eat here. We thoroughly recommend this pub .
