德爾酒店(Thayer Hotel)

We came here for a last night before to return home after a trip to NYC. The room was large with a view on the Hudson. The staff was pleasant (valet, reception and restaurant). There was a passenger train passing on the other side of the shore every 30 to 40 minutes, this gave a Harry Potter type of feeling to the room but if you want complete silence, I would suggest taking a room with the windows facing the court. Even with instructions, the lighting system was bit difficult to figure out. The architecture and decoration of the lobby is spectacular. The restaurant MacArthur is worth the while. This was a nice calming night before returning home. Would go back again.

It was a Truly Amazing Hotel with a Lot of History. Personnel Were Friendly and Attentive, They Were Helpful with Our Questions Asked. I Would Highly Recommend the Hotel to Friends and Family Visiting the Academy. Food at MacArthur's Restaurant was Outstanding and the Atmosphere at the Zulu Rooftop Bar was Great with Beautiful Views of the Hudson River.

A great location, much better than anything else in the area. Unfortunately, the check and staff were frankly rude, the dinner at MacArthur's Riverview restaurant was mediocre at best. The dining room was loud and it was grossly under staffed. If we were ever to come back to the area we would not stay here.

It was not horrible but very average stay. Cot was ‘unsleepable’. Fridge is extra $. The view of the Hudson was really nice. Overall, the hotel has an interesting history, huge stone presence which is very caool, and the walls are adorned with old men in stuffy uniforms even in the room. Kind of museum like. It’s a good location as far as reaching activities within a reasonable distance. Front desk staff were nice, as well as the housekeeping staff. The restaurants had very limited hours but the local town Highland Falls, a sleepy town with very limited dining options, unless pizza is fine. I would fine another place to stay if I visited the area. But that’s just me.

Hotel Thayer is an amazing place to stay if given the opportunity. The hotel is historical and the room was nicer than any other Ive stayed in in quite some time. MacArthurs Riverview Restaurant was delicicious ' being able to eat b outside was enjoyable.

The architecture of this hotel is truly amazing! The lobby is beautiful and everyone from the moment we pulled up to the moment we left was very friendly and accommodating. The rooftop bar had excellent service and food and the Sunday brunch is out of this world

I misunderstood THEIR definition of luxury hotel. Although it was historic, I still expected signs of luxury other than the price. The wallpaper, bathroom floor tile, and shower tile are all very very old. The bathroom maintained a consistent flow of gnats. Every time I killed one, 3 more would appear! My tv didn’t work and someone came right up and 30 minutes later, I had a working tv. While the tv repairman was there, someone delivered wash cloths that I didn’t even know I needed. (There were none in the bathroom.) Jeffrey took excellent care of my car and luggage!!!! He was the best part of my stay! The service was PERFECT!!! Now that I know what to expect, all is well. I will just remember to ask for a room without the gnats and have plenty of cash because THIS LUXURY HOTEL DOES NOT ACCEPT AMERICAN EXPRESS! Go figure!

Comfortable bed. Great linens. Bath should be updated. Old tub and no hand rails. Wish there was real glassware and not paper cups.
