Super 8 by Wyndham West Yellowstone

Hotel ristrutturato recentemente. Camere confortevoli ma la pulizia viene fatta sommariamente. Moquette con polvere di almeno un mese. Nota positiva il bagno nuovo. Asciugamani trovati macchiati e colazione inesistente. Sarebbe meglio non pubblicizzare colazione inclusa. Alle 7.30 non trovi già più nulla. (Salato solo uova) . Gestione nuova di ragazzi, spero che capiscano presto come gestire un motel. Non tornerei

The arrival experience was unbelievably bad and disorganized. Apparently this hotel is or has changed ownership, and it is not clear whether or not it is indeed a super 8 ( as the sign says) or a KOA (employees wore KOA uniforms) or something else. I booked through Agoda 6 months ago, they charged my card $225 today, and then front desk demanded I pay AGAIN. And they acted like this happens all the time, but I’ve never experienced this. What a mess and a nasty surprise after a long day of hiking. Room itself decent. No elevators here. Quiet, way outside of town.

We get in, get everything set up and since we know it gets cold in Montana we brought a small heater. Well they only have 1 breaker for two tent sites and we had to deal with the breaker tripping all night, even with running only our small heater on low. Their solution the first night was for us to move, it was well past our time to sleep so we dealt with the cold. Next day they have someone out to look at it and the electrician has to give us an adapter but the lovely neighbor we are sharing this outlet with says he need it because they have someone with cpap machine and takes it for his side of the outlet. So we try and speak to the manager and he says we shouldn't have any issues now and that they just took over this campground and they have it in the plans to separate these two sites so they each have their own box....so why put us here if they knew it was an issue? We get back from being out all day and the lovely neighbor has Christmas lights strung up and flashing away...what is wrong with people...here's hoping we don't freeze tonight! Second thoughts on ever camping with KOA as this was our 2nd bad experience in the last couple of days with two different KOA campgrounds now. Oh and the bathrooms here need some deep cleaning, all they do is refill the TP and clean the toilets "when necessary" gross!!

I booked this hotel several months ago thru the Wyndham app, when I got to the hotel I was told that the hotel was a no longer a Wyndham hotel, and that it was owned by the KOA campgrounds that was behind the hotel. That is fine, but I was never told about that through Wyndham, so that’s Wyndham‘s fault. They did honor the amount that I was supposed to pay through Wyndham so that was good. when we checked in and we went in the room, the room had sliding windows one window, opened up several inches and would not lock. There was a little skinny dowel type piece of wood in the window track to try and keep the window from opening and also staying closed, But the piece of wood was about 2 inches short so the window would not stay closed. We went to the front desk and asked, Jackie and her husband if they could help us and they said they couldn’t do anything about it and that all the windows were like that! Not very safe!! My husband took care of it and got some rocks and put it in the window tracks to keep the window from opening. We went to the camp store next-door and met Megan. Megan also works at the front desk in the hotel, which is now called Mountain Vista. Meghan was extremely helpful and very friendly and accommodating. She was surprised that the other employees did not try to help us out with the window. This hotel could use more employees like Meghan it would make things much better in the hotel. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean. There was a back door to the hotel, which was closest to our room, but the back door was never locked and anybody could come and go through that door. You did not need a key to get in the door. So, Mountain Vista needs to do a few safety updates and the hotel will be good.

Situato a 10 minuti di auto da West Yellowstone, questo albergo ha recentemente cambiato gestione e offre camere confortevoli e pulite, dotate di tutti i normali confort ( TV, wifi, asciugacapelli, frigo e macchina per il caffè) La posizione isolata consente un riposo tranquillo anche nelle camere a piano terra e il personale è particolarmente gentile e attento specie nei confronti dei turisti stranieri. A tal proposito devo fare un ringraziamento alla disponibilità del personale per averci aiutato a risolvere un piccolo problema meccanico con l'auto in brevissimo tempo. La colazione e non è molto ampia nelle scelte ma comunque sufficiente. Nel complesso un albergo tranquillo e confortevole, adatto a famiglie e gruppi.

Housekeeping was friendly a d the very small rooms were clean. We made reservations months ago but they said there are new owners so they would not honor our payment and we had to pay again fir 2 nights. Which cut into our vacay budget. Still haven't been refunded. A d no breakfast to speak of.

Stopped by to eat. Past years the KOA has had a great menu. Always the best ribs, but they no longer serve trout or ribs. Menu has become bland and not worth going out of your way to eat. I'm not sure why.
