I would recommend anyone wanting peace and tranquility to stay here. The hard work Donna and Paul have put in to make this place amazing is noticeable everywhere from the gardens to the rooms. The room we stayed in was spotlessly clean with such a comfortable bed it made getting up difficult. The breakfasts are superb and definitely set you up for the day. We can't wait to come back and enjoy this little bit of heaven in Devon again.

An outstanding B&B. Set well away from any traffic noise but within easy walking distance of Ilfracombe. ( About a mile and a quarter) Superb recently refurbished room with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent with ample choice & the hosts were very welcome and informative. Could not fault and would definitely book again if staying in the area.

This is a lovely house with very friendly and helpful hosts. It is totally quiet and set in a beautiful valley with ample parking. It is within walking distance of the town, but going to Ilfracombe by car for dinner is also easy, as parking is free after 6 pm. I recommend this house as a lovely alternative to staying in Ilfracombe itself, which is much busier.

Absolutely outstanding in every respect, located in a stunning valley well away from the road and any noise. Very comfortable well furnished guest rooms /bathrooms, lounge and breakfast room, all recently and tastefully refurbished to a high standard. Wonderful and plentiful breakfast and excellent hosts in Donna and Paul. I took a group of golfers so we had 5 rooms, everyone was really impressed, so much so two have already booked to return with their wives and another is thinking about it. Absolutely nothing to fault, very highly recommended. As the organiser, many thanks Donna and Paul for making us feel so welcome and looking after us so well.

This is our 4th time here and we love it! We are a group of divers and are always met with a warm greeting and made to feel like family. Beautiful location, run by a friendly couple, amazing food and very accommodating! Would highly recommend!

Stayed here in August 2022 during the UK heatwave. Despite the soaring temperatures room 6 (the seaside themed room) was really comfortable with a nice breeze coming from the valley and overlooking the gardens. The hotel is a lovely characterful building yet tastefully decorated and each room has its own theme with well thought out details such as USB charging points and a smart TV as well as the essentials e.g a comfy bed. Breakfast superb and the hosts welcoming and informative. Lovely gardens - real sanctuary in a peaceful valley yet conveniently located only a 3 minute walk to the bus stop, a 20 minute walk to Ilfracombe or a short drive. Why would you want to stay anywhere else? Would definitely recommend this gem of a place.

Lovely setting, nice room with comfy bed and en suite.Pleasant hosts wanting to ensure that their guests wanted for nothing.Would definitely stay again without hesitation.

Lovely old property but with all mod cons. I had everything I could possibly need in my room and the breakfast was exceptional. The hotel is in a beautiful quiet setting and perfect for exploring the N.Devon coast.

Location and grounds, 300 year old property, service, nothing was too much trouble, breakfast was amazing, very friendly owners.
